  1. Cache title: "Can ya dig it?" Cache concept: Find those hardworking city crewmen who happen to be replacing a portion of sidewalk and have them put it in the hole before they fill it back in with cement. Cache owner: Hoffa
  2. I was browsing the forums a couple weeks ago, and found a little quote reguarding the 5 star topic. Something like this. "Unless you have to pry the cache from the jaws of a rabbid caged dog in the bottom of a slurry pit, it's probably not a 5." m-anon.
  3. I've been geocaching since spring of '05, and am creeping on the one hundred mark. I never really paid much attention to the forums until I went back to school (UW Platteville) this fall. It's more or less a way to burn time, but I will admit, it's helped in some instances, like picking out a pda to purchase. I'd like to give a big thankyou to all of the posters who keep me entertained and add some insight and help where needed reguarding geocaching.
  4. Your dad loves it as much as you, so the one condition for getting his birthday gift is finding it.
  5. I've delt with compasses on a number of levels, being in Boy Scouts for years and camping as long as I can remember, not to mention the numberous trips to the Canadian border above Minnesota on both sides. I've got one compass that I swear by, the Brunton 8099. Check it out Brunton 8099
  6. Yep, had my court of honor in September of 1999. Troop 875 out of baylakes council in Southeastern Wisconsin. Kept at it even after the award. I got the bronze, gold, and silver palms too. I thank scouting and my dad who took me camping and still does for my love of the out doors. It was actually a professor at the University of Wisconsin Platteville who got me into Geocaching.
