  1. Denis; Jungle hair may have a good idea... If it works out, I'm sure we can figure something out for delivery. I will be down in the area at some point over the next few months and if you can't make it out to the Falls, I could likely go and grab them from you. Cheers; Eric P.S. Where are you located? I assumed Niagara meant the Falls, but I guess it probably encompasses a larger area...
  2. Go check WWW.GPSCENTRAL.CA They have them available and are located inside Canada. Cheers; Eric
  3. Denis; I may be interested in a couple of them. Ideally I would need them dropped off at my mother inlaws address in Niagara Falls though. Would that be a problem? Eric
  4. Yep Stunod... as soon as I saw it end up in here instead fo the test area, I was mortified to say the least! If I could delete I would... Again, sorry! Eric
  5. To everyone; Very sorry about this post topic! Believe it or not I do know better. I was on the test post thread, but for some reason I must have accidentally posted in here... I suspect I must have hit "new post" instead of "reply" My apologies! Eric
  6. Thanks everyone; All very good answers. I'm gonna take the plunge and give it a shot and see what I come up with. I suspect that one of the methods (very likely subtract from full number and ignore the decimals) will yield coordinates that make sense and the others will be way off as mentioned. Thanks for the help and the patience guys! I'm trying my first caches in the next few days and really looking forward to enjoying this sport! Cheers; Eric
  7. Ok; Quick question on decoding coordinates as this instruction is not very clear to me... either I'm missing something, I'm not thinking right, or I'm over analysing this... so this likely is an obvious thing for most of you. Puzzle: To find the coordinates for the second site read the sign at the first site. Subtract the last four digits of the telephone number on the sign from the minutes of each of the following coordinates. N45 degrees 16.272 and W 076 degrees 14.632 Ok, assuming for this example number is 1234 and we are working only on the North coordinate. Do I subtract 1234 from 16 or subtract 1234 from 16.272, or subtract 1234 from 16272 or...? Thanks for any clarification... I feel stupid... but I am new at this! Cheers; Eric
  8. Since my last post above, I have dealt with GPSCentral and had excellent service/buying experience with competitive prices. I also discovered that GPSCity is apparently no longer a Canadian company per say. Guess the previous owner amalgamated with the American arm and now most everything appears to be run from the States. Customer service is all done in the US even when calling the Canadian numbers... I guess Calgary is pretty much only a shipping location now. Still good service, but wait times on phone for cust. svc. can sometimes be very looong. Eric
  9. Nice idea! I like it! I would go with the drawstring, and a beltloop would be good but not necessary. Color is good (stick to darker colors), and I would definitely trade for one. Would be great to store extra batteries, trinkets, etc, while on the hunt (hence the belt loop), and good to store the gpsr after the day when its not in use. Just be sure its nice and soft inside. Good luck! Eric
  10. Been dealing with GPSCity Canada for about 6 years now (3 Units and numerous acc.). Excellent prices and service with fast shipping, absolutely no complaints here. Eric
  11. Guess you could call me a lurker of sorts, but thats only because I'm brand new to this sport and to these forums (but not to GPS). I have my wife to thank for suggesting that this is something that would be fun, and that we might be able to enjoy together with our young son. Hope to have much to post and talk about in the near future as I begin to look for some local caches. Cheers; Eric Greely, Ontario Canada GPS III+, Etrex Legend, and GPS Map 60CS on the way!
