There is also another series here in Wiltshire called 'Little Bridges' which is becoming very popular, pld pack horse bridges, weirs, foot bridges, railway bridges...all types of unusual bridges purely for people walking not driving across.
-
Some 60 plus within 5 miles, its a haven for Geocaching.
-
Perhaps someone should maintain a list of all the series walks, similar to the Church Micro list. There are plenty being produced Clyfe Pypard, Steeple Ashton, Ditteridge, Melksham, Broughton, to name but a few in Wiltshire, by miles and number of caches perhaps.

Would only be £17.50 today for GSAK, one off payment and very adaptable for Geocachers to use with their GPS, whichever one they go for.
-
Just have to agree with Chris, become a Premium member, get GSAK . Then in my opinion an Oregon and your 100% paperless and pretty accurate as well. Download MWSnap, photograph the bit of map from your PC, put that on your Oregon as well. Just Magic!
Only an opinion..... but certainly worth the few pennies to become a PM and GSAK.

What a brilliant tip that was. Downloaded MWSnap, went to Memory Map where I had previously downloaded a csv file and had a circular series shown on the map, used MwSnap to capture as a JPEG and simply placed into profiles on the Oregon. Went to images selected the JPEG and then zoomed up and up and up, just brilliant, who needs a paper map of where you are intending to head to. I'm impressed!

Now if the PQ has had several new caches added, how does one delete the current GPX from the Oregon enabling a new updated one to be added?
-
Sport or Hobby it's physical and therefore has to be a benefit to all ages as it's getting them out and about in the fresh air and burning off hopefully a few calories. Some walk, some ramble and some jog, so all in all it's a good all round activity. Get it on that survey !

Parents still caching (Dormick) and they are both 84 ! Their slowing down a bit lately..
-
That's not appear to be up to the minute amended and lots are archived as well, was probably good when it first came out. Also how does one adjust the mileage so as you can look at the ones nearest home?
-
There are times when travelling that I wish there was a cache and dash PQ that one could set up, true you have all the Motorway Mayhems and Sidetracked caches, but then these are not always cache and dashes. A separate icon depicting a C & D would make life that bit easier, well it would certainly save trawling through hundreds of cache sheets to see if there are any upon your route.

That's very good, a 'Top Tip' in fact, thank you. Should you have any others about the 550 please be sure to share them with us.
-
Must give that a try............thanks!

The Devil in me says it's worth a try so I will in the near future and let the forum know what happens!

'Other type of log' that's it..........a letter/numeral/colour that has to be e-mailed to the owner to confirm find and enable a 'Found it' log. Just as previously mentioned is done all the time with a Virtual Cache. It would comply within the rules generally surely, what are the reviewers saying? or are they sitting on the fence?
-
I know that the rules state a cache must have a log, but have come across a couple of Nanos now where one has to e-mail the colour found painted inside to claim. I personally think this is a good idea as the piece of minute paper to log upon does not last long at all and getting it in and out adds to its demise eventually as well. So is putting a colour/letter/numeral to e-mail back to the owner actually permitted by the reviewers?

Always turn mine off on the front as intended and date has remained correct for the last eighteen months. I feel sure that you are not meant to turn it off each time at the base next to reset and the usb connection.

All looks brilliant if only I could get the GPS to work, tried most Comms and baud rate 4600. Nothing! Could it be fighting Tom Tom which I have on the same Mio PDA ? What do others have there GPS set at? I've seen above Comm7 Baud 9600 any others??
-
That is where I was going wrong, imported caches as a GPX and it worked nicely. Out tomorrow trying it out once Com and baud are sorted out in the field as they say. Hope it does not conflict with Mem Map or Tom Tom too much. Thanks for advice...
-
I go to cachemate and click, up comes DB_Files, Plugins and Voice notes. I click DB_Files it highlights and then click Import at bottom left........................................Nothing! What am I doing wrong?
-
Got it loaded onto Mio which incidentally also has my cachemate data on as well, how do I import cachemate caches to Richesse. Currently I have just manually added half a dozen Co-Ords with titles amd hints to try it out next time we are out.

You didn't mention any mapping...................!!!!

He's always been my Hero!!

Brilliant, quite often have a browse around at the areas prior to going out to geocache. Some lovely photos as well. Well done on the million photos, just shows these things can be done.
Is Wiltshire the micro capital of the UK?
in United Kingdom and Ireland

I'm sure that the Wiltshire Cacher at the Mega that you mentioned was chuffed that he had just placed his 100th cache and not micro! If it is the right person his caches are 98% medium sized boxes always full of good purchased swag as well, twice he has used tennis ball containers as well and all caches covered in DPM tape. Yes a Wiltshire cacher who has taken time, effort and thought...nice caches as well. What's that other saying 'Half a loaf is better than none'
