Some of the smaller events are the best. You can actually hold a group conversations without the issues caused by large groups... - ADHD - Cliques - Over stimulation - etc etc

You mean, most players here in the forums... which represents what, 1% of the total players? And those here in the forums never leave the forums. So whatever the perceived consensus is here is not reality and for sure is not representative of a true cross-section.

I am just wondering how much effort it really was. If finding a place to hide a cache caused me that much anxiety or angst I probably wouldn't bother hiding.

The majority of the participants here in the forums move more hot air than they do finding caches. In addition, the people that like to hear themselves talk here in the forums represent a tiny fraction of geocachers in the real world. I would not come here for advice but come here for the entertainment value. So with that in mind, don't avoid the community based on people here in the forums that think their opinions are the gospel.

Either way, removing ridiculous logging requirements was one of Groundspeak's finest moments. A sincere thank you. There was a point where the ALR's were getting stupider by the day, at least in some parts of the world.

I hold events for numbers, challenges, and heaven forbid, to earn souvenirs. I hope this is isn't too much to convince you to quit the game. [eyeroll]
