  1. That's the problem with emotions. They always get in the way of reality, er, I mean, logic.
  2. Micro or Regular? I'll do any cache Traditional or Multi? I'll do any cache Mystery or Earth? I'll do any cache In a group or alone? I'll do any cache with anyone Hiding or Finding? Prefer finding over hiding, but love to hide Virtual or Webcam? I'll do any cache Letterbox or Wherigo? No on Wherigo Favorite GPS? Garmin GPSMAP60csx Social(event) or not? Yes FTF'er or not? Yes Podcast listener or not? Only if local Out of state or In state? I'll do any cache anywhere "Extreme/Hardcore" or Layed back? Depends on the wife schedule Urban / Rural? I'll do any cache anywhere
  3. Apparently, people with a little more restraint than others, who apparently are compelled to read something that obviously bugs them. Point taken AND point proven. Now back to the original topic.
  4. Jeez, why don't you all just shut up. Who moderates this kind of crap?
  5. As a hider, I can't divulge anything that would get me in hot water. On the other hand, as a seeker of caches, I'll do anything and go anywhere. I'd even lift a skirt to find a cache.
  6. Drill the hole. Walk on the grass. Pound the nail in the tree. The world's coming to an end.
  7. Yep, good old fashioned notepad and pen, in the breast pocket of my coat, is all you need. Take lots of pictures. Use wifi to log caches before you get home. Here is a sample from a caching buddy here in the metro..
  8. I hear you can get around hurting the rock by attaching your cache to a wire hanging around the rock, but only if you get permission. Oh, and make sure the wire isn't made of copper. And for God's sake, do NOT walk on the grass to get to the rock.
  9. I have a personal BLOG which is about 95% geocaching. Can't seem to find anything else to talk about.
  10. Just dump the darn hint and rate it properly. There's not a thing wrong with a difficult hide as long as it is rated accordingly. I would not even feel obligated to put anything obvious in the cache description.
  11. I'll remember that next time I am in the Vermont area..
  12. Maybe what some of those "no vote" cachers are worried about is a boatload of average or mediocre caches. Using the Geocache Rating System, I am seeing that response is low. I don't know if cachers are lazy, don't care, or aren't seeing it on the cache listing. Either way, it is a nice experiement.
  13. You haven't winter cached until you've cached in Minnesota. Just yesterday, my caching trip started out at a hot 37F degrees and raining. By the time we were done, it was -20F with blizzard like conditions.
  14. I think you missed the point. The owner wasn’t calling attention to his homosexuality. He was calling attention to oppression. I fully understand what the point was intended to be and I still think it was lame. I am for equal rights as much as the next guy but the typical American has NO IDEA what real oppression is.. I got a kick out of your analogy.
  15. If you're gay, just be gay and shut up. Same if you're straight. Be straight and shut the heck up. The hypocricy is that if I archived caches to call attention to my straightness, I'd be considered a homophobe. The CO can do what he/she wants but the entire notion is ridiculous.
  16. Yep, I thought that's what the PM feature was for! The PM feature wouldn't produce the audience he needs. Sure. But I am now fascinated by this topic-creap. I don't know which story is true. But I can't imagine anyone thinking they were judge, jury, and hangman in the caching world. Find and log the cache and go about your business. If a cache bothers you, contact reviewer and then move on. It's that simple. The log deletion thing is just crazy.
  17. How about... - Who hates micros the most? - Who asks "did you get permission?" the most? - Who has suggested the most changes to geocaching.com?
  18. I suppose next you'll mention that you hate micros, complain about putting nails in trees, and about getting permission to hide a cache.
  19. Is it possible for these threads about micros to just stop??? Jeepers.
  20. I'd rather see virtuals reinstated, but that isn't going to happen either.
  21. Are you serious? Do you truly believe PM-only caches are sometimes hidden for the specific purpose of excluding other cachers out of spite? I believe that is an even stronger and more outrageous charge than the elitism thing. It had never even occurred to me to imagine that anyone was using the PM-only feature for no other reason than to be cruel, vindictive or mean. Other than the speculation you have posted here, do you have any real-world evidence you can show us which led you directly to that conclusion? I am in the process of coverting every one of my 114 hides in MOC. I am doing it purely out of spite. I don't care what you call MOCs. I can't get over the idea that people think their lives should be risk-free and that motivation and drive are meaningless terms. Life will never be fair. Get over it. End of thread.
  22. I think it's just your creative way to brag about geocaching overseas. ADFS JUAM POOY NMAB ATGF AJKK QBAP
