  1. Then perhaps owning 62 earthcaches isn't a task you should be undertaking. In all seriousness, this is great time to mention my feature proposal that has never been taken seriously about adding a "checkbox" to the cache owner's view of virtual, webcam and earthcache listings. It's just simply on-or-off checkbox to indicate which Found It logs have been validated with the proper logging requirement. It's simple and would go a long way in managing the "too much work".
  2. I am glad that it was you because I think the website design as evolved mostly in the right direction over the years.
  3. OMG, go play another geo-game if it bothers you that much....
  4. It happens but I'll add.. very few people know how to crack a Wherigo (yet) so I'd bet the majority of those seeking the cache and creating visible signs of searching probably cheated by coordinate sharing.. from the first one to hack the cartridge.
  5. Cheaters suck and it is irritating as heck. But remember two things.. - most people don't cheat - it is just a game
  6. That's a great idea. I spray my cans first with a layer of Plastidip, a sprayable rubber coating, before painting. It's not perfect but it just about doubles the life of the paint job.
  7. I am hoping this was a joke. If not, this is exactly why I would never come to the forums for the answer to any real questions that I might have.
  8. Because if a new thread was started someone would have asked why an existing thread wasn't used, posting links to several old threads on the topic. At the end of the day it doesn't matter..
  9. How is that ironic? Making a funny while referring to yourself isn't irony. Now if I said that it "might" be.
  10. While I share the same philosophy about finding caches in countries I visit, I would not let a lack of caches stop me from hosting an event. You calling it gaming the system. I call it using ingenuity.
  11. I just don't understand why every little thing has to be complained about by somebody. Who cares how short or long an event is and how many people attend. I love them all. If I have room on my calendar and an interest in the venue then I'll attend. If not, I won't attend. Not about to let others enjoy their fun.
  12. My friend, former purist and regular of these forums, knowschad.. https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7B6J3_rockin-the-house
  13. For all noob geocachers listening to this thread, Platinum Membership isn't real. It's a childish joke that many here can't grow out of. It's too bad the lame joke has persisted for years every time someone has the nerve to ask a legitimate question.
  14. Yep, it is unfortunate, but definitely not tragic.
  15. LOL, is this some kind of slur that's supposed to make me feel bad?
  16. Some folks just invent reasons to be offended by one thing or another.
  17. I was thinking about this.. MANY people nowadays take being challenged or questioned as being yelled at. When in reality, they're just being challenged or questioned and the real problem is that they take offense to it. [sigh]
  18. I'll stay on topic.. For me, right now, a historic cache without any of the other useless rhetorical BS is a cache with a 3 digit GC number (GC123). I suppose in a couple of years the four digit caches will be historic.. for me. I really don't care what the opinionated crowd that can't stay on topic has to say about it. ;-)
  19. If there were EVER a case to be made for a throwdown I think this would be it.. LOL.
  20. Except webcams require you to get your picture taken at a specific location, so it's still "kind of" geocaching.. based on your logic.
