  1. We have a PN-40 and a Oregon 450. I really can't compare the two. The Oregon has the flashy feature of a touch screen, but the batteries don't last as long. Unless you buy the Garman "t" models (450t) they don't come with a topographical map unlike the PN-40. The Oregon is more simple to use, but I think the PN-40 has better accuracy. The PN-40 screen is easier to see in the sunlight, but the Oregon is bigger. So....we take both when we're out.
  2. I make replacement tags using business card paper and laminate. If you can't laminate use wide clear tape.
  3. I also use Shrinky Dink sheets. I buy 8 1/2x11 ink jet sheets at Michaels Crafts. The one to the right of the quarter was made using a business card template for sizing. The token in the upper left is made using the frosted Shrinky Dinks. After shrinking and cooling, I spray with a coat of clear sealer to keep ink from running if wet. I have also used the Shrinky Dink sheets for replacement travel bug tags and trackables.
  4. I agree. It's a great geography lesson for the kids too. den
  5. I tried looking the benchmark up by the coordinates, but it didn't turn up. I did find a similar one on Waymarking.com com after reading the above post. I will post it there. Thanks everyone!!
  6. I'm new to benchmarking. We found this benchmark while looking for a geocache. I have searched both geocaching.com and NGS and can't find a listing. I'm not sure what to do next.....thank you for any help you can give me http://cid-8df3b4f23cfaa95b.photos.live.co...IMG%5E_7912.JPG
