  1. Those of us living in Somerset have always said Somerset is in the South West and it was finally recognised a while ago. (Regional maps) Weston-super-Mega cache page is listed as South West - as are the majority of caches around here (even when Somerset was initially listed as Southern).
  2. I don't know if the PM fee has increased over the last 11 years, but if you keep up your membership then you will only pay the same amount each year as you did when you first joined. From the Knowledge books: As long as you continue to renew your membership, you will always be guaranteed the rate at which you first became a Premium member!
  3. i've just done a quick Google and come up with quite a few different places - including Amazon, Maplin, Ebay and some cycle shops. Google results here Also, advertised on UKGeocachers site
  4. Or buy some of the GAGB cache box labels - they also have the number on then ....... and a bargain at only 50p each.
  5. Congratulations to 'The Blorenges' ( AKA Mr & Mrs B ) on their 1000th find at the weekend.
  6. The full list of locations and finders is on the Langley Knights website (click here) 4 of the winning teams were cachers or connected with caching .... although only 2 of them were part of Groundspeak's team. (Not sure about Knight #2)
  7. Well done - I assume you were FTF. Was that one in Carlisle? Yeah, Bitts Park (near the Castle) in Carlisle. Got sick of looking on GE for the cyber knights! The lads said they were inundated yesterday with peeps wanting pictures, and got sick of the kids pestering them! We were the only ones that had actually went to "find" them, and appreciated the fact we had took the time to check. His parting shot was that after a 'phone call to Langley Castle they might be able to go home (Hexham) early and still get paid So.......as for the true FTF......here's hoping I found both cyber knights yesterday. #4 at lunchtime and then #5 a few minutes after the clues were released last night. I received email confirmation early this morning to say i was FTF on #5 (subject to verfication etc etc) .... which is great (for me and Haggis Hunter as he was my team leader). Keeping my fingers crossed that you were first to submit. I wonder if any other cachers found/will find the others? .......... there is still one left to find.
  8. Well done - I assume you were FTF. Was that one in Carlisle?
  9. I logged the YOSM in 2008 (Harrogate Mega - when the YOSM cache was actually at the Brimham Rocks Trig). I am not planning to log it again - even if I visit a trig that currently (or previously) has been nominated a YOSM. Personally, I don't see the point of logging it several times. However, I will log all trigs/FBM etc that I visit on www.trigpointinguk.com
  10. Thank you, but we are honoured to have one of those memorable caches (under Paradiddle's account) chosen as your milestone cache ........ so big Congrats to you on your 5000th cache
  11. Robin This is something I bookmarked ages ago ...... but not had the need to investigate any further. Free routable maps for Garmin brand GPS devices Worth a look - also has a forum.
  12. Will have to look at diary and flights to Belfast later. A new colour on the map and some miles for my GAGB mileage race coin
  13. Ah ok. Go to the same page, but click on the word 'Geocaches' (where it says Quick View | Lists | Geocaches (Yours) | Trackable Items (Yours) etc, etc. This will show you your last few logs (max of 15)
  14. On 'Your Profile' page, just below where it says Your Logs (last 30 days) ... click on Show logs for all 'Geocaches'. You then have options to filter by found, archived, did not find etc etc
  15. You can 'sort' the favourite column - so that the caches are ordered by favourites. Just do a search, whether it be by country, region, cache type etc - then click on the blue rosette at the top of the favourite column (twice to get the most favourites at the top). Some of the other colums can also be sorted - D/T, Placed and Last Found
  16. That is such good news Wendy and glad you introduced him to caching so early. I look forward to meeting him sometime.
  17. That was sneaky Deci So Royal Oak is 'The Haywood Hornet' ......
  18. Haven't been there yet ... but was reading about the caches at Wrens Nest National Nature Reserve at Dudley yesterday. GCMXKP (Earthcache) GC2HXVJ GC2HXYC GC2M9TR GC2M9TZ
  19. PopUpPirate has a bookmark that have some listed with the NCR numbers. (although quite a few of them have been archived now) Cycle Chaos (NCR/LCR) I would advise looking at the caching map .... around canals and old railway tracks.
  20. This trail was published after we had booked our cycling holiday to the area (when we booked there were only a dozen or so caches dotted around) .... and as some of the caches were on our route we just had to stop and do them. Nice area to cycle - mostly country lanes/farm tracks and lots of tavernas etc to stop off at. (we went in early Oct) Unfortunately, our cycling holiday was cut short ..... so we didn't get to complete them. Maybe one day we will return and finish our holiday and the caches.
  21. You could use the counties/maps on www.mygeocachingprofile.com (which was acquired by Groundspeak last year) ... as this is what all the gc.com stats are based on. They show 46 counties listed for England, 8 for Wales, 12 for Scotland, 6 for Northern Ireland and also show Ireland (26) and Isle of Man. Or the Little Quest English counties (47) ... also listed on www.mygeocachingprofile.com I have both the map & the LQ list on my profile if you want to see what they look like.
  22. Just a reminder about the January competition. Details in the GAGB forums.
  23. T - comes with European recreation maps and the worldwide base map (whereas the 450 just comes with a base map)
