  1. I have a question along similar lines, i've gone to watch several cache's in my area just so i can pull them up later without searching again, is there anyway to stop the emails telling me everytime someone visits them. Or is there a different way of making a to-do list other than watching caches? Thanks
  2. Hi, So everyone is probably sick of these questions coming up. But i am overloaded with information about GPS. I am looking to buy a GPS for geocaching, i already have a Tom Tom for in car navigation so car navigation while useful, isn't a must. My main questions are What is paperless Cacheing? How do you load Cache's onto a GPS? i'm guessing you put in the co-ordinates and save it.. Can you load say 20 Cache's onto any GPS and then select different ones at will or can only certain GPS units do this? At the moment it seems the Garmin GPSMAP 60Csx is what i'd like as reveiws basically make it the holy grail of GPS But i am also interested in the Oregon or a touch screen unit. two more questions i just thought of: does the Cache appear on a GPS as a point on a map, or as an arrow pointing you in the direction, or can the GPS do both? Lastly, does the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx give it's error value? Thanks to everyone who answers these!
  3. What sort of Nokia do you have? Does it have GPS built in? If it doesn't then you can usually add a GPS to it, I've used a Freedom Keychain GPS with some sucess. You may also want to look at Viewranger - works on a lot of Nokias. The maps are expensive, however if you a prepared to do without maps and just have a distance and direction system then it's free and works quite well for caching! I Have a Nokia 6700 Classic with a built in GPS. and viewranger i am guessing is software, which from what i have found is not supported on my style of phone so i suppose i am looking for something else. An arrow for the right direction would be all i need.
  4. Hi, So i'm a poverty stricken Uni student who wants to get into this but just have a few questions. I'm looking for advice on what sort of GPS device to use? There seem to be heaps of GPS models, but i am looking for alternate solutions such as phone modifications (the google earth i loaded onto my Nokia doesn't seem to provide longitude and latitude). So any advice on what sort of non i-phone apps and stuff is going round would be great. Thanks! p.s. I am mostly interested in pursuing Urban caches
