  1. Count me in for the beta testing The most apreciated features for me would be: . Bluetooth GPS support + navigation to cache . VGA Support (PPC 2003 SE or above) I'm using an Asus Mypal 730W with a GlobalSat BT338 GPS. RS
  2. Hi there I would like to thank all of you about your willing to help me in "Where's in a Name?" cache, but Basson Pilot user achieved a place with that coordinates this weekend. Thanks once again. Ricardo Silva

  4. Hi there First let me introduce myself. My name is Ricardo (see my profile at http://www.geocaching.com/profile/default.aspx?A=34879) and i'm a portuguese geocacher trying to find my name's coordinates place. Im talking about "Where's In a Name?" cache (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=bd5f561d-558c-4e2b-baf3-931a67b7eccd). If this cache is new for you, the goal is to transform our username in coordinates, then see where they are and try to get some help from another geocacher to log it. And both geocachers will be able to log it. So you're problably figuring why im looking for some help My username is ricardobsilva and doing the Crusso's cache transformation i've reached 74º 22.736. Now was time to find a place with it in the latitude or longitude. Is anyone near W74º22.736 that want to help or that can put me in contact with someone willing to help? So now how can we log a find? Well, if someone accept to help, you'll have to get to this coordinates, take a picture of your GPS where they are clearly visible and take some photos from the place and surrounding area. Then we can make our found log Cumprimentos (best regards in portuguese) Ricardo Silva

  6. Hello I would like to know what is being done all over the world in Geocaching, especially variations of the game and new ideas, but only those that are always compliant with the geocaching rules posted at the site. If you could leave here the name of the cache or the cache's link i would apreciate it. Thanks Ricardo
  7. Hello quote:Originally posted by Team Dragon:I think that this may be your problem: quote:However, only the first one to fill in the form of the logbook will have the right to choose the next place. You mention a place but you do not mention the need for coordinates. But in the rules there is also the need for coordinates. Maybe isnt clear and problably i should put this to snetences together. quote:The coordinates in this page will change to reflect the next place.
  8. quote:Originally posted by Markwell:It would help if we had the links to the descriptions (are they in English?). The description is very similar to your own. I wrote probably the same thing with other words. And the way they work is the same. Description: quote:Welcome to "Pictures of Portugal". This is another type of geocaching where, besides the GPS, you will need a camera. The two created caches, "Nature" and "Human", are intended to gather images on both wonders of Nature and Human skills located in Portugal. Rules: This cache is virtual so it exists only in a form of location. The goal is to picture the place. When the goal is achieved the "geocacher" must fill the logbook on the cache's page and put the pictures online. He will then earn the right to choose the next place to be photographed. This will be asked after the validation of the logbook's record and after the pictures are online (do not mention the desired place on the logbook). Notes: The same place can be photographed by different "geocachers" and all are invited to put their pictures online. However, only the first one to fill in the form of the logbook will have the right to choose the next place. A "geocacher" can present several pictures but for the registry on the logbook to be considered valid, at least one of the pictures must show the GPS to ensure that it isn't an old picture taken years before. The pictures must be clear and with good quality. When indicating the next place, while trying to give the most accurate coordinates, please be creative giving living clues instead of saying exactly what you want to see photographed. The coordinates in this page will change to reflect the next place. If a certain place remains more than 60 days without being pictured, the "geocacher" will be asked to choose another one. 9. Hello I recently posted two caches that are very similar to "The Photographers Caches" by Markwell. The diferences are that they are restrict to Portugal and that they are divided in Human and Nature (pictures of Human and Nature wonders). Unfortunetely they were archived and not accepted. I would like to know if you're against this kind of caches and if you think they are outside the scope of geocaching. Thanks Ricardo [This message was edited by ricardobsilva on August 27, 2002 at 08:56 AM.]
