  1. Looks like David&Robyn are going to take this contest. Drop me a line through my profile with your address and your choice of either Antique Gold or Antique Silver version. 2nd contest to be posted shortly.
  2. End of entries. New contest to start after the race. My guess is 26st or worse. Sorry. She needs to prove to me what she can do with these cars.
  3. Race starts in about an hour and 25 minutes I believe. Around 1:15 Eastern Time.
  4. I thought I would do a quick cointest before the start of the Nation Wide Stock Car Race this afternoon. Guess will not be accepted after the start of the race. Winner will get either the antique Silver or Antique Gold Regular edition of this geocoin. I will then start a new cointest immeditalely after that. So here is the question. In what place will Danica Patrick finish in the race? 43 cars are starting and she is on the pole. One guess per person. In the event 2 people guess the same position, I will do a random draw for the winner. No one guesses the right position, closest will win. If 2 are the closest, random drawing rule applies. 2nd cointest will be announced at the end of the race. It will be for an AE edition.
  5. Great news for you. Still sitting at packed for shipping here.
  6. I have 2 geocoins that are sitting unactivated here at the house. Their twins are out there activated for years. The one in Germany was the same coin in a different finish and color. The other one I have is the exact same coin as another person has. Verified with photos.
  7. I was hoping for an update yesterday for shipping. But I guess like others, we are still in waiting mode. And it is very disconcerning he can ship the eBay orders so quickly while the rest of us wait. Sorry. No matter what other issues have came up. That is not right.
  8. I made the 2010 Indiana geocoins. So definitely up for a trade on those.
  9. They just went on sale a few minutes ago. The approximate conversion from Euro to Dollar minus the VAT is as follows. RE=$10.15 LE=$11.20 Set of 7=$70.98 Here is the link to the Sale . Thanks again for all the nice comments. And sorry for not explaining the BSG. And for a little further information. When you read the description it will mention "Toasters". That is what they called the Cylons.
  10. Well this has been a very long project in the working. This was over a year in the doing. The orginal idea was there. Then life kept getting in the way. So life has finally started going smoother and the geocoin has come to completion. This was inspired by my love of science fiction. And the BSG series is one of those series I grew up with but has never got the attention other sci-fi series have. So we wanted to do something to show our enjoyment of the series. Sales will begin this Wednesday the 1st and I will update with links to the sales. They are trackable on geocaching.com with a unique icon. They are 1 3/4" across, 3MM thick. They will come in 5 different limited editions and 2 regular editions. Plus there will be 2 of our own AE's. Here is a sneak peak. I hope you like!
  11. Well I was wondering if people who said they had received a shipping notice actually meant they got the same packaged notice as the rest of us. Big difference.
  12. They changed it last year so that the first 3 ounces of First Class Mail were all the same rate. It was the last rate increase I believe last May.
  13. Now that the rates are in place, I thought I might update everyone with some rates they need to know about. For inside the US, first class parcel actually dropped 11 cents. So that was nice to see. $1.75 online to $1.64. For International it really jumped. Canada for shipping a 2 ounce coin went from $1.72 to $3.15. 15 cents an ounce after that. To Germany for shipping a 2 ounce coin used to be $2.59. It is now about $3.78. And 78 cents for every ounce after that. Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone that is shipping out of the US before you had a heart attack at the post office.
  14. I believe the Tengwar Mystery sale was in November and the sale ended right before Thanksgiving. The TOL's were a pre-order from July or so.
  15. Not to pour gasoline on the fire, I am a little suspicious since he has sold multiple numbers of these pins for big bucks. He has already sold 5 of these since the end of November. They have sold for $25 all the way up to $65. He must have found a lot of them back when he was caching in the Northwest. Who knew there would be "Real Gold" in that Swag?
  16. Search for geocoin -pathtag . It will eleminate all auctions with the word pathtag in the title.
  17. Sounds like you have brought another geocoin back to life. Where is it showing when you bring up the logs for it? Was it in the geocache you grabbed it from? If not grab the geocoin from wherever it is and you may want to drop it in the cache you found it. Then you can grab it from there. This will get the mileage on to the geocoin and then show it in your posession so you can drop it into the next cache.
  18. If there is a polar bear on the back, the tracking number would be right under it. Dex4 is the creator and he is still active.
  19. Pssst!!! If you are looking for the full set including the Public LE. You better go quick- Compass Rose Set of 6
  20. Well I got my answer and will share it here in case it might help someone in the future. For DHL using tarriff code 7118900055 (non-monetary coins)in to the US and the total is under $2000, there are no fees or duties. I did not ask further after that as my shipment will be under that by a hundred bucks or so. So in my situation I am good to go. Thanks for the replies. Now I must sit back and wait for them to show. Wonder what it will be.
  21. Thanks for the information Tsun. These will be shipped DHL. And I have been told the tariff code for non-monetary coins is 7118900055. I will probably call DHL and see what they tell me after I get off work. I was just hoping someone would have a quick answer with as many geocoins get shipped to distributors here.
  22. I did a quick scan of the forums and did not see an answer to this. Are there duties/taxes for importing a large number and dollar amount of geocoins in to the US? Should there be some special paperwork and markings on the paperwork to get them in smoothly? Edited to add that this is about $2K coming from Germany. I appreciate the information!
  23. I get a lot of geocoins through my mailbox. But this one by far is one of the best that has ever came through and will be held on to for quite some time. Thanks *Han Solo*! #209 The Warrior
  24. I hate trying to read the USPS charts. For retail sales, Letters are going up .01 and parcels are going up .24. But I do not see any sepecifics for purchasing online. I was going by online since I do not buy at the post office. After looking a little deeper, here is what I see as the big jump in price. It appears they have changed the First Class Mail International Package rates significantly. Right now you can send 2 ounces for $2.59. If I am reading this right, 1 ounce will cost $3 and 2 ounces will cost $3.15. It will go up .15 for every ounce. This is bad if most of the packages you send are 2 ounces or under, like a single geocoin. It will be good though if you send 4 ounces since then it will start saving money. Of course until the rates officially take affect and the distribution centers close, we will not know how bad it is.
