  6. Actually having a Geo-buddy is a great idea when you do the more strenuous and higher rated terrains because you never know when something could happen. I always try to have someone with me if possible just in case something does so I won't be stranded or worse. So IMO it's not pathetic at all.

This is the second year and they have tee-shirts, event trackable geocoins, and pathtags. That's awesome. Is there someone you could put me I contact with to get an idea of how they do theirs? O and is me Hilbilly_Ern I decided to change my name.

  11. Thanks for the input. I think I'll do an event but will completely redirect my train of thought. I might do tf as a ( meeting of friends) so to speak. Do some grilling out and of course caches will be available as I and a friend or two have caches in our area.
  12. So it wouldn't be frowned upon if I just so happened to have an event around the time of our counties bicentennial event. Hypothetically speaking of course.
  13. Ok I have a trackable...I think....it's not a bug and it's not a coin...it's odd to say the least. It is a plastic spaceman looking thing. It has a magnifying glass for it's head. It is made by 2009 penguin group (USA) Inc. All rights reserved. It has, what I believe to be, a tracking number on it's right foot. Any help would be greatly Appreciated. I would post a pic but I do my forums from my iPhone. I will email a pic to you if you'd like just send me an email. Thanks. Edited for spellin.
  14. Ok. I see. Well I will edit the above post. I didn't know that wasn't allowed. Monies that fact of the event. What else can and should I do.
  15. Ok so I've mulled this around for a few days and would like some input. Don't link me to another thread or point me In another threads direction cause I do these posts from my iPhone and well just one thread is easier for me. Ok anyway I have been thinking of hosting an event,...I am trying to get said event to coincide with the bicentennial of the county I live in. Was thinking of having the local boy scouts to participate and have a nice big Bon fire, marshmallow and hot dog roast, and a night caching event.. I have alot of things In mind and of course caching so don't be mislead . Have also considered doing an event coin for said event an basing it around the bicentennial of the town the event is in. What do you guys and gals think. Any kind of input would be greatly appreciated and would help me decide how I wanted to do this. I will also be trying to set the date on a Friday-Saturday-possibly Sunday schedule if I can get enough things going. Will of course be kid friendly as I will have activities and caches for kids only. Like I said any input or adviillsill be greatly appreciated.
