Magellan Meridian Software Question
AngelaSeely replied to AngelaSeely's topic in GPS technology and devices
I have the yellow Meridian. I just got it yesterday and used it for the first time today It was fun. I couldn't see any roads since I didn't have any software but it took me right to the cache. Even though there was rain pouring and it hasn't stopped raining in 3 days so the ground is nice and wet I couldn't resist not trying my luck on a cache. -
Magellan Meridian Software Question
AngelaSeely replied to AngelaSeely's topic in GPS technology and devices
Mapsend Directroute and Mapsend Topo 3D do not support the Magellan Meridian. Does Mapsend Topo version 4.2 support my meridian or do I have to get 4.0 or some other version? Thanks, Angela -
I want to get mapsend Topo and mapsend streets and destinations but I don't know which version supports my Meridian. Where are some places I can get these softwares for cheap? Are there any other programs I may want? I bought a 512 SD for the Meridian last night. How much stuff can I hold on that? Thanks for all of your help! Angela

Any Comments On The Magellan Nav 6000?
AngelaSeely replied to AngelaSeely's topic in GPS technology and devices
Peter, I am looking to buy a Magellan Meridian but I was also given the option to buy a Nav 6000 for $100. We are really looking forward to Geocaching and want to get the best bang for our buck. I would rather upgrade now then later if the 6000 was the better buy. I was also given an option of buying a garmin GPSMAP 76. The asking price is $299 but they said they would haggle. I got that offer from a local pawn shop. -
It is a 110

I am trying to find a good GPS and came across one of these for a decent price. Is there anything the matter with this GPS that would make it not a good choice for a newbie? Thanks, Angela
