PM sent on a Dakota 10

I like my Garmin Dakota...

After the last Groundspeak update. I have had a hard time lock on to GPS right away. And some of the caches do not show up. But C:geo has always work well. Even finds the missing caches. So Groundspeak looks pretty. But does not work that well.

I have it. For $10 I think its great!

Where to... then coordinates...

I have Dakota 10 which I have used for months and now have a Droid with Groundspeak. The plus side to the Droid. + always on me + Screen is bigger, clear + I can get a cache at anytime easily + Faster software + $10 for the program + lots of memory space ( though not a big deal really) Down side - battery is very poor - Can't take a beating ( I got the extra warranty) Dakota 10 Plus side + Battery goes for every + Durable Down side - not as clear screen. Processor is slower - to get birds eye its extra $30 year. Built in on my droid. - No instant caches, need to pre-download Right now I might sell my Dakota.. its a good unit. But I don't go out for days at a time. I can charge my phone anytime. It just depends how you use it. ( Thats what she said! )

I have a Dakota 10 that just got refurbished from Garmin. But my phone has GPS on it. Doesn't make sense to have both. Comes with box, manual, cable, protective cover. Plus I have an extended warranty through Gander Mountain ( I believe 20 month still left) Looks like new! Unit Info---> Link Thanks
