Well, maybe if they screamed all the time, for no reason. http://community.webshots.com/album/67423220KEECyy my dad i have to force, even tho he just got his own gpsr. my nephew is just happy to go anywhere. my business partner i asked her if she wanted to go hiking-i planned the trip. the first couple of times when we got there i said "oh, by the way, i have something i need to do while we're here...", now she's cought on & asks "where's the cache" when we get somewhere. i'm forceful in a sly way. 2. i've forced my business partner, dad & nephew to go along with me at different times. they all enjoy it. in fact my dad just got his own gpsr last month. it does help to have another person with you, even if they don't know anything about geocaching. good luck! 9. quote:Originally posted by flask:i'd like to know why that cache was archived. on the one hand, there's travel advisories. but on the other, it has significance to the community at large, and, well, there are people who can hunt it! maybe the hider is deceased? or the container was blown to bits? THE PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW! it doesn't matter if you get to camp at one or at six. dinner is still at six. it was archived because of all the sentiments being posted, one was a not so nice anti-war.(they retracted it) jeremy said this was not the place for those messages. i have it on my watch list. 12. instead of getting more insurance add a disclaimer to your cache page, put a sign up at the beginning of your property & put one in the cache. there are websites that can help you with the legal wording. then i would add in layman's terms something humorous. that way you look friendly & people aren't gonna sue someone they like. ok not usually. i wouldn't sue, i'd just feel stupid & hope no one saw me, but more than likely they were. if i had property that had something that would make a good cache i wouldn't give it a second thought of putting one there. good luck! 13. we have a geocacher here that has one on his property, old cedar trail by rick. email him & ask him directly what he thinks. i haven't heard of anything going badly for him. he also has neighbors next to the property that haven't complained too loudly. we had an event cache there last october, very nice! as i said talk to him directly. 14. according to john miller, with the conservation dept. at shephard of the hills, there is no offical policy on geocaching. he is all for geocaching. if you'd like to place a cache down here, he'll work with you on the best place. he is also our go between with the state for our group(ozmtngeocachers). he's going to let us know when the state is going to make a formal policy so we can put in our two cents. as soon as that happens i will let everyone know about it.
