thought I was going to have a partner during the cache machine, so if anyone wants to get together for the cache machine let me know, im coming from hoodsport.

I will be visiting Victoria wed the 20th of nov for the day, was interested in seeing if there is a local cacher who would like to show around, i will be on foot from the ferry. i have no problem helping out for fuel. thanks.

ive put NM logs on a few caches here in yakima and when they go un-fixed (is that a word) i used to send a note to the reviewer and they would usually disable for 30days and then archive unless the CO fixed the cache. once i did this and the reviewer came back to me basically saying dont bug him with the NM issue. so then i started to put NA log after its been disabled or has had multiple DNF's. 9/10 times it takes another 30 days at least for the reviewer to post anything. and in the mean time the CO usually sends me a nasty email telling me to butt out of his caches, and at this time this CO has multiple caches with many DNF's and he has even wrote notes stating "will be fixed in the next 2 days" well they are still un-fixed and its been over 2 months. so , personally think the NM,NA notes are a joke. i even had one of my caches go MIA and just to see what would be said to me i posted a noted that i will fix it when i get to it and didnt disable it. but its since been archived by me. just my .02 cents worth.

i'm sure this is an old subject, but in my search didnt find much, a friend bought an explorist 500le, and wants to find some maps for it without paying a small fortune, is there any out there?

looking at buying a back-up gps for $30, is this gps good for geocaching?

going to be in town this weekend, how much snow do you all have, are the caches a difficulty 3 and up now because of snow? lol.

event went off great, good attendance, and everyone had fun. thanks to everyone who came out. will do this again next year.

ya beaver pride is in a vacant lot, with a THS Beaver sign. like a block or two from the school.

im the owner of Beaver Pride GC27WVY, its not in a park at all, i also have 2 in the tenino park, GC27WTR and GC26KNW, these were all set up earlier this year.

ive decded to do this on the yakima greenway, i called the foundation and they are happy to let us do this, so once i have the permission from the executive directer i will post the event.

well, that idea for a cito in that area was short lived, that area is owned by multiple people and companies most of which are out of state. so, im thinking a park now.

this is undeveloped area between yakima and selah up on a ridge/hill, where there are cell towers, there are good acccess roads there is a few caches in the area but a lot of trash, the views are awesome, here are a couple caches that are up there and there are pics of the area, GC2AKKC, GC12DY0, thanks for the input I'm gonna get this rollin then.

i am wanting to do a CITO event here in yakima on nov 13th or 14th, i am hoping for some thoughts on whether this is a good iea or if its to late in the year. there is a hilltop between yakima and selah where there are a number of caches and we were up there the other day and saw large amounts of trash and felt like a CITO event would do this area wonders.

wanted to say congratulations to geokidyakima for reaching his 1000th find while doing the MLCM.

reason i ask is there a fellow cacher here who has multiple accts, he has caches hidden using the different ones and a bunch are disabled ive asked them to be archived. i feel this guy is abusing the game. i dont cache with him anymore but would like the disabled caches to be maintained or archived so someone who is honest about this game can put caches out. i know i shouldnt worry about it, but its irritating.

how many geocaching accounts can a person have?

i asked Groundspeak that same question, the rules don't say anything. Groundspeak told me no.

I did a historical cache and i want to put pics on the cache page, i have several on it now where you have to click on them, i would like to inbed them with the decription, how do you do that??

I believe this was asked before, whats the best camo duct tape to use one caches, i have some that i bought from wally world and when i use it the ends come off and so i started to super glue them down but that gets time consuming and sticks to everything and burns my eyes from the fumes.

ya, 27 can be a little hairy, but just take it slow when backing out or trying to turn around, there is swamp on both sides.

this fellow cacher im speaking of, went to my new cache today, I put a lot of decent swag in it, i showed up as he was signing the log, i walked up to him asked how it was doing the cache and noticed the swag was emptied out, well darn he was FTF so asked him where all the swag was, well no real answer from him but he put it all back. I felt like checking on his TB hotel he has in front of his house and there is a few trackables listed but not there, he was the last one to log them, I'm sure he is hoarding them. just makes me irritated. dont mean to beat a dead subject but, needed to vent.
