arisoft replied to TheGeologgers's topic in How do I...?
Have you already entered the final waypoint? If not sure, check the waypoints list from Admin tools panel. -

Groundspeak Testing More Access in Official App

Number of favorites is the best way. I must agree - the favorite situation in your area seems to be really really bad. But there are, inside ten mile range, a dozen caches which have over 10 favorites. -
Groundspeak Testing More Access in Official App

Well, I think that more players could be hooked up if only the most favorited items were shown in the intro app. Does anyone disagree? -
Challenges - did they pass the test?
arisoft replied to Memfis Mafia's topic in General geocaching topics
At least you can get a list and a map using this criteria https://www.geocaching.com/play/search?types=8&kw=Challenge but not PQ. Technically it is possible to extract all needed information from the map but you need a sophisticated tool for that. -
Challenges - did they pass the test?

You have opportunity to separate them and quite easily, because challenge caches has title "challenge". The next step is to convince the stats makers about the importance of the separated number of challenges. -
Threre are some known ways to limit number of visitors for a cache, especially beginners. For example you can make it Premium Only, set Need Maintenance flag or heighten difficulty over 1,5. Changing the type to mystery is one of the most effective ways but not used very often. On that basis, sometimes it may be sensible to use mystery type for traditional cache and sometimes not. It depends on how many visitors the cache can actually handle.

Have you seen traditional caches placed in a tree? You may need climbing gear and the operation may take even more than an hour. Attributes may warn you about these challenging caches, so read the description carefully. The same debate seems to happen when there is field puzzle multi cache. Some players may complain that cache type was wrong even it is strictly following guidelines. Guidelines include examples of when the cache is a mystery and when multi. The same instructions can also be used to determine whether the cache is a mystery or a traditional one when there is only one waypoint available. The one important factor is that cache must be mystery type if the cache cannot be found without research that goes beyond reading the cache page. Basically, you should be able to find traditional cache using printed description and a GPS receiver.

This is easy one. I would like to learn from the case and next time I would try to avoid making the same mistake. There is no reason to punish the finders of the cache owner's own mistake. Really this is just a funny incident that makes people remember this cache better.

This is not a geochecker at all. It is an ordinary field mystery like intercache which works exactly how you described the function. See: https://www.intercaching.com/intercache/index.php More discussion here:

I have used my own checkers for some mysteries because there was not any suitable available. Normally I am using public geocheckers because it is not easy job to build full featured geochecker.

I think that every web-designer knows how to make a geochecker. May be you have some idea how to make a better geochecker?
