Always finding things, I found some bolt cutters at one cache a while back. Which were handy as I had a forgotten the numbers for the lock on my back pack
This weekend in Aylesbury I found a nice torch, still had batteries as well .
Then also find some aweful things as well, dead animals, vomit etc.

Great stuff Matt, on the record and the 600.
Have a safe trip and good luck with your quest in Austin, but remember to check out some of live music as well.

Congratulations and a big OSS!!! To Lester aka Sensei TSKC on on finding his 600th cache yesterday.
He went all the way to Canada, his 600th cache was “That Little Park Cache”
Seems like a long way to go, when there a still a few caches in England that don’t have a pack of world cup cards
What did customs say when you showed them your suitcase full of playing card?
Great stuff Lester and family.

I see so if a cache is archived or disabled its not on the map.
What about this one, still active "GCTD0F" in Greater Manchester. But Greater Manchester isn't yellow on the map.
List of counties I have cached in from http://stats.geocacheuk.com
Avon 208 1 0.48 0.15
Bedfordshire 149 65 43.62 9.54
Berkshire 406 4 0.99 0.59
Buckinghamshire 455 241 52.97 35.39
Cheshire 268 6 2.24 0.88
Cleveland 23 1 4.35 0.15
Cumbria 441 3 0.68 0.44
Derbyshire 279 18 6.45 2.64
Dorset 211 10 4.74 1.47
Essex 289 9 3.11 1.32
Greater London 671 53 7.90 7.78
Greater Manchester 260 1 0.38 0.15
Gwent 78 1 1.28 0.15
Hampshire 630 1 0.16 0.15
Hertfordshire 387 109 28.17 16.01
Lancashire 327 1 0.31 0.15
Leicestershire 132 2 1.52 0.29
Mid Glamorgan 79 13 16.46 1.91
North Yorkshire 492 15 3.05 2.20
Northamptonshire 139 20 14.39 2.94
Oxfordshire 406 94 23.15 13.80
Shropshire 181 4 2.21 0.59
South Yorkshire 242 4 1.65 0.59
Staffordshire 233 1 0.43 0.15
Warwickshire 135 3 2.22 0.44
West Glamorgan 48 1 2.08 0.15
Thanks in advance

Is there any way notes and DNF could not be counted as finds on the map.
just add &found=1 to the end of the image url. eg
http://stats.guk2.com/pics/make_countymap....f00&found=1
that way only the found logs will be counted. (should work whatever style of map you choose)
- as for what counties are included - not included etc, I not going to go there.... (ie could go on for ever)
Hi Barry,
There appears to be an issue where the map misses out some counties for example:-
I have found the cache "GCTJMF" in Gloucestershire, but this county isn't coloured in. But if I do a list of the the counties I have cached in Gloucestershire shows up?
Is this a bug that can be fixed?
Thanks

Yep the event was great fun, its a shame you missed it. But I understand it is a long way on public transport.
Arranging an event sounds like a great idea Richelle. If we are free, we will do our best to come along.

760 finds, 8.3 miles. But we are always moving, so most of these finds are not from where we currently live.

Leia
Hi Princess Leia,
That sounds great, we can pick you up from the Tring Station.
I will send you an email with my phone number, can you give me a yell when you know what time the train arrives into Tring.
See ya on Sunday...

Edit2: Further investigation reveals a red dot in the middle of anglesey on the static map, where I've not cached. This does not appear on the flash or gis maps. Furthermore, the only cache I've found in Humberside is now archived and appears on the static map as a find, but not on the dynamic ones.
If you have logged notes, will attends or DNFs, these all show as found. In the case of Anglesey, you'll find it's Dave's camping do. Plus you will get whatever county YOSM is in at the moment.
I noticed some of these irregularities with ours, which is why I went back to the marnanel map.

That would make this map very cool.

Coming to the event maybe a little tricky for me. Its about 50km from where i am staying and being new in the city, i have absolutely no idea how to make it out there on a train. Is there any events coming up in central london at all? I am here for a minimum of 6 months, and if i like it, could be years
Howdy,
To get to Tring you would need to get to Euston Station, its about a 30-40 minutes train trip.
If you are keen, we could possibly give you a ride from the station as we should be going to the event.
It would be good to have someone else at the event from Down under that can explain that Australia and New Zealand are different places

Hmmm that's the second victim that cache has claimed, I fell in as well trying to get the cache back.
Luckily only up to my knee
Lets hope the muggles had the same issue throwing it in the river!!!
Bad luck Lester, extreme caching indeed. It was lucky that that TB floated.
Yes maybe it should now be rated a 5 star..

Where in England is the cache, its quite a big place

I am also not getting the emails to my Yahoo account. I am in England as well.
I still managed to get the FTF anyway, because I noticed a new cache in my PQ .
The cache was "GCX38J", and it wasn't blocked by my spam filter.
Thanks
