  1. I think thats normal, trackables still show up in an event even if they have moved on. Crazy but true... See ya...Gary
  2. I have to agree with the White Family as a paperless cacher, I have been stuck in field sometimes with a multi that can't be done. So I have to flag it and move onto to a cache that I can do, without killing a forest to complete. See ya...Gary
  3. Hey, maybe you could list it down you be in SG from what date and stuff? Howdy, I will send you an email with the dates, we are looking forward to re-visiting Singapore. Picked up a Green Jeep last night, so I will try and find a cache large enough to place it into in for all you Singapore cachers. See ya...Gary
  4. Well we did them the other weekend and we both enjoyed the nice walk along the canal. Also had a nice lunch, so I can’t agree with this post at all. Isn’t Geocaching about getting people out and about visiting new places, in that sense the caches are brilliant? Maybe you should do the caches first Mr Planner and then report back? What you think? See ya…Gary
  5. Great stuff Guys, hopefully see all four of you soon. See ya...Gary and Margaret
  6. Well we are Westies, so no education needed. We have full knowledge of the westie ways. We both grew up in Henderson in West Auckland. That reminds me I had better get my AC DC shirt and my black jumper out of storage See ya...Gary
  7. Congratulation to "Just Roger" who today reached 400 caches on the new Silver-Fox & Vixey series of caches “The Fox's Trail Series” Congratulations Roger on the milestone, will see you at our event. Gary and Margaret
  8. Thanks to everyone for the congrats... Onwards and upwards, will the Kiwis get 1000 before we leave the UK? See ya.....Gary
  9. Hi, We much sadness , we are leaving England to return to our homeland of New Zealand. We are very sad to be leaving all our new caching friends in England. If you keen to say goodbye in person, you should see us both at our event on October 18th. It can be accessed via this link. Anyway obviously it will be very hard for us to maintain our caches from 18279 kms away, that’s 11,358 miles for the English among you . So if you think these caches are worth saving and you have the time to maintain them, then please put your name forward to adopt the ones that interest you. We have created a bookmark with all our caches; you can access it by clicking here. KiwiGary’s and KiwiTulip’s Caches up for adoption If you are ever get to New Zealand, be sure and drop us a line if you need a local caching guide . Any caches not adopted will be archived on 14 October 2006, and then removed from their hides to prevent Geotrash. Thanks Gary and Margaret
  10. Congratulations to one of Wales youngest cachers “Horrid Henry” for reaching 300 caches over the weekend at the Let's go Camping in Lancashire event. Great stuff Sean, here a photo of Henry in action:- See ya soon…Gary and Margaret
  11. Not sure about a congrats thread, buy maybe this could be a new log type. Which counts towards your finds. Removed Dead Cache, I agree the admins should be only ones that can authorise a hit. Or we would have dead caches everywhere... See ya...Gary
  12. Thanks Guys, that would be great I will send you an email. The avatar is from a cache we did in Nelson at the top of the South Island, so it could have been from the same cacher? Wow that is strange that you guys found one as well. Perhaps its someones sig item? Yes those maps are really handy, I will be loading those onto my GPS for sure. I will look out for any new events in town...See ya...Gary and Margaret
  13. Anyone know how to get the names of the cache on the maps? Like Pauls Example at the beginning of this thread? I use Roolku's script by the way... Cheers...Gary
  14. Thanks guys for all your help and suggestions, I don't feel so bad now about going into the jungle Now If any events are on at the end of November, drop me a line and I will come along with a bag full of TB's. I would arrange one myself, but wouldn't know which locations are any good. If you see a couple of Kiwis looking confused in the Jungle, don't worry its probably just us.. See ya later...Gary
  15. I agree Kev, in a perfect world this is what would happen. Lets hope it does..
  16. That is a real shame, as I was keen to try that one. Maybe we could set up another one, in the real middle earth "New Zealand" when we get back. Sad day indeed....
  17. I agree, but if the owner has given up with GC.com. Then couldn't there archive their caches before closing the door? Seems like common sense to me?
  18. What does it do Evan? Is it a Palm or Pocket PC program? Yes I am too lazy to click the link before anyone asks
  19. I must agree with Bambi & Thumper, so I am right in thinking that if you flag a cache needs help. Ie. The Blue cross. And the owner doesn't bother and after a certain time that cache is archived? And the cache becomes Geolitter to remain in woods forever? Seems crazy to me, would it be better to call for locals to adopt it? See ya...Gary
  20. Greetings to all Singapore cachers. We are visited your island in November on our way home “New Zealand” and was wondering some things? Are snakes a big problem in the Jungles? Do you have any dangerous ones? How can we avoid them while caching? Also what do recommend as a good TB Hotel near Orchid Road, we have some bugs that need to be left somewhere? Thanks, if there are any events while we are in town maybe we will meet some of you. Gary and Margaret
  21. Great stuff Tony on the 1000!!! , hopefully we will catch up before we head South. See ya...Gary and Margaret
  22. Sorry haven't done any around those parts, but Richmond isn't far away and that has some nice caches. You can walk along the river and pick up seven caches. See ya...Gary
  23. If you email me what roughy where you are going and what order, I could make you are Google earth kml file that you could upload to the new "caches along a route" feature. I have mapsource, so it won't take long at all. This will only work if you are prem member. See ya...Gary
  24. Congrats Guys, great stuff indeed Gordon and Liz. It will be a shame we will miss your next Welsh event as we are we off home. We did enjoy your last one... See ya...Gary
