  1. Hi, Count me in as well, we are keen to rescue travel bugs. Do we get a hat or at least a sash to wear while we are on a rescue mission. See ya...Gary
  2. Hi, Personally I rate all my own caches when I place them, so at least each one has one rating. I think it would be a good move if this was part of cache set up process. I also have the logo on the page, so other can rate the cache with one click. That's my 10c, see ya...Gary
  3. The thing that gets me is why does everyone assume every one has a car??? I either walked of rode to most of the caches we have found, so why don't all caches list where the closest cycle or bridleway is??? On that note I do try and list a parking co-ordinate for all our caches, just to help people out. Often people complain that all they found the parking co-ordinates was a huge bike shed??? See ya...Gary
  4. Yes that does look cool, how to you do that? See ya...Gary
  5. Yes helps with the finding those caches and eating worms!!!
  6. Just a hat and some snow, which is strange for us as we usually are at the beach at Christmas Shouldn't you guys move Christmas to July when its nice and sunny???? See ya...Gary
  7. This sounds good to me as well, keen to come along if I can. See ya...Gary
  8. I must agree with everyone here. I returned my Yellow Etrex, that I bought on Ebay after losing one of its buttons to Garmin. Not only did it come back within a week with a nice new button, they also replaced the scratched glass screen with a new one!!! So I am very impressed with Garmin in England. Never dealt with any other GPS company, but Garmin seemed pretty good to me... See ya...Gary (KiwiGary)
  9. Sounds good Ali, if people are keen send comments in the following format:- GCWWQW Requires a walk of 3 miles to get to cache site, through a village full of mutants. Not recommended as drive by cache. To my email via the gc.com web site, I will update the bookmark. See ya...Gary
  10. Yes if you have Tom Tom, but alas I don't. It would look silly on my handle bars anyway See ya...Gary
  11. Hi. Thats what I did, create a route in mapsource and the export this to GSAK to create a filter. The create bookmark macro sounds great, tell me if you work out how to do that [). See ya...Gary
  12. Hi Stu, Thanks for the feedback I have added that cache, I should have remembered that one as I did that myself as a M1 drive by earlier this year. See ya...Gary
  13. Hi John, Yes if its popular I will update it every month. Sorry couldn't do it daily []. Its quite a bit of work. If anyone does place a cache near the M1, they could drop me a line and I could add it manually. See ya...Gary
  14. The only crietria Ali is that there are 1 mile from the motorway. So access could be further away from them, I would recommend people check the car parking first. See ya....Gary
  15. I think you have to go into Geocahing.com and select enter forums, then your forum info is updated. Try that.... See ya...Gary
  16. Well currently in Milton Keynes, but hoping to escape soon Before that we were from New Zealand... See ya....Gary
  17. Hi All, I have created a Bookmark list for the M1 motorway in England for a trip coming up. M1 Driveby Adventure It lists all caches (excluding events) that are within 1 mile of the M1 motorway that runs from London to Leeds. The bookmark features are great; you can now create a pocket query from a bookmark. The idea is that if you are heading up the M1, load your GPS with these bookmarked caches and you can do some rest stop caching on your travels. Please note some of them maybe puzzles so have a look before you try and do one of these caches. These may require some homework first. Sorry but I think Bookmarks are a premium member feature, so members may have problems with them. If you have any comments feel free, to email me. If people find this useful, maybe we could create other one for other motorways around the country. See ya….Gary
  18. I did used to add this to my pages, but the nearest three caches keeps changing with new ones and archived ones etc. So it was a maintenance night mare, anyway when you are online they is a button to bring up the nearest caches. But the WAP idea seems to be the best, you can also log caches in field. But this is hard going on a mobile phone [] See ya...Gary
  19. Yes indeed well done Ali, looking forward to your drinkies event. See ya...Gary
  20. WooHarr number 12 that must be a record for us!!!! See ya...Gary
