  1. Thanks, Don't know how I missed that. I guess it just didn't sink in. GSAK is a great product DJ
  2. I'm using GSAK 5.6.0 (build 16) and was wondering how to mark the caches that I own? It is registered in my wife's name (Paypal account was in here name) but the caches are in my name. When I registered it I got an email asking if I wanted to change the name it was registered in but I deleted it before realizing that it might cause a problem. DJ Hobby
  3. I have an idea for a cache and was wondering if rare earth magnets can be painted or stamped with letters? Preferbly both. Has anyone done this? Also where is a good place to buy some magnets?
  4. I looked for this one at least 8 times at about 1hr each time: Phoney Cache Here is my log: I FINALLY FOUND IT!!! I have spent hours upon hours upon hours looking for this cache. I have been obsessed with this cache. I have had sleepless nights thinking about this cache. The nights I could sleep I dreamed about it. I probably have spent 8 hours of my life standing on that corner looking for this cache. The locals probably know me by name now. "Oh look there's that guy with the funny cell phone again staring at that phone booth." I didn't post all of my no finds because it would have filled up the logs on this site. I finally broke down and had to email the owner for some clues. 3 DIFFERENT TIMES! But I finally found it. You've got to love Geocaching! Hides like this are some of my favorites. Thanks Prariepartners.
  5. I sent paypal for two. THANKS
  6. I found a custom painted croc w/ the Geocaching logo on it as a FTF. I put out a cache in a state park recently and left a season pass for all the Indiana state parks for a year. It was worth $26, I thought it made a cool FTF.
  7. Lost my pen on the way to a cache the other day and hiked back to the car to just find a crayon. Worked okay on one regular cache but on the next one, a micro, its a little hard to make out.
  8. I posted this log for a cache earlier today and then reposted thinking I was a little harsh. I have found dozens of caches by this person and have liked them all until now. I posted this complaint then realized how many hours of enjoyment I have gotten out of this guys other caches so I recanted. But I would still like to get it off of my chest. I wonder if other cachers hold back or just let it rip. Here's my original post: This is probably the worst case of a micro going. Drive out to the middle of nowhere, walk way out in the middle of nowhere, bushwack for a half mile, and there it is, a micro surrounded by the same f*&^ing forest you have been walking though for an hour. Not only that but the film container was stuck way down in the roots of a tree in a knot hole just big enough for the container and not your hands holding the container. Took about 10 mins to retreive after we found it. I filled the hole in halfway so at least the next poor soul can retrieve the cache. Sorry to rant and rave, I know these things are voluntary, and someone took the time to do something for me to try and enjoy I just needed to vent. I probably needed the excersise anyway.
  9. Another very simple answer, its my name. It came in handy this weekend at a Geocache get together where everybody said, hey whats your name and I said DJ Hobby, whats yours?.........Super GeoCacher 989 to the 3 degree, and Yourmomisanuglypersonthatdressesyoufunny_12 _8D
  10. On a related topic. What is everybodies thought on using your real name as opposed to your sisters dogs favorite tv characters catch phrase? I always use the same name when ever I can and usually don't have much problem. I wonder if some people have a preconceived notion that their name is already taken so came up with some odd name. I can see a future where we start naming our kids Sassy_Butterfly_487 or something similar.
