Me and a frind of mine were always out and about in the woods, hiking, walking and the such and stumbled onto a cache near seal island bridge Cape Breton, forget the name of it and couldn't find it on here since. Read the note inside with the web address to check this thing out, I signed the log, put er all back, already had a GPS so when I finally got onto this site I was already and set to start, stoped for a cpl years but since started again last month.

Just like a real Rottweiler, huh? Ya just like the real thing, once im locked on, you aint gettin me off, a cache that is..lol

I have since gotten GASK to work for me a few times, few other would not , bad communication problem, im going to blame this on my homemade data transfer cable, I tried afterwards, after securing it more tightly to my GPSr unit and it worked fine, uploaded and found 5 caches today, so looks like I may have got it straighted out, tnkd for all the replys and help, muchly appreciated, just gettin back into this again, but goin in hard and devoted

Or if you have the explorist series and aren't running vista you could use vantagepoint. No its not an explorist. What would I need to convert the file to? Am going to DL the swiss army knife you spoke of to give it a try thanks.

Was reading up on premium membership and read this. With a Pocket Query you can download up to 500 specifically defined geocache waypoints directly to your GPS in a flash! " I have a magellan GPS that I will not give up for the world, love it. Now this says I can dowload waypoints to my GPS, does this mean it has to be a Garmin or no? I have downloaded the LOC files to try and load onto my magellan, everyone i tried to import says file may be corrupted or not supported? If i go pemium can i then get waypoints to work with my GPS? Just so you know I have a magellan sport trak with latest firmware, updated back in 2005, now with topo canada on it, when I try to load the LOC's, it says open with Streets and Destitnations, my previous SW. I try and point it to Topo Canada but it gives me this error. Maybe, Im not sure, but is there a way to download these waypoints and put them on my map then load them to my GPS, maybe by opening with another program and changing the file to another extension? Just to stay on the topic of this said unit. I have and use a Magellan Sport trak Map, had this unit for probably 3 years now. This thing will usually bring me to within a foot or 2 of any set coords. I just VERY recently found out (2 days ago) that this unit will also allow me to use Magellan Topo Canada, which on most sites it either says it won't work or may not work, Yeah, it works

Man that software is awsome, I want it real bad now but there no way I can pay out that kind of money . I couldn't find my street on there either but that didn't matter as I only wanted to know where the lakes and streams were so I can take my lil fella fishin in some hopfully better fishin spots Thanks for the link.

Yes I tried looking to see what the update fixed or added but it didn't say anything about and that was why I didn't bother downloading it. You would think they would tell you what it was for.

Just curious to know what upgrading the firmare for your GPSr does for you? I noticed there is an update available for my SporTrak Map GPSr but cannot see any reason I should update it, what would it benefit?

How can I tell if my GPS is a 300 or 300m? I have the Magellan SporTrak Map and it doesn't say anywhere on it about 300 or 300m. I bought the Map Send streets and Des Cnada and it says I need to know if I am using the 300 or 300m Map model.Im confused.Any help would be appreciated.

Was just wondering if anyone has tried making the homemade pc data cable for the Magellan SporTrak series? I had seen one link but that was, was wondering if anyone has made one and if it worked ok or knows of links to make one?

I had checked my filter where all the junkmail goes and nothing went through there. I also tried using a different email account but did not receive one there either? What next?

I created an account on www.geocaching.com after stumbling onto a geocache one day out for a walk. I was told I would receive a validation code to activate my account via email but still haven't received it. Anyone know why I didn't or know if I will receive one? Thanks. Shaun (Rottweiler)

Hi there, I was told that the SporTrak Map would work with Topo Canada ONLY if it had the latest firmware upgrade. ANyone know if this is true? Or maybe I wouldn't even need this upgrade to use it. Let me know if you are using this model with this S/W and if it works ok, or if you had to update the firmware. Thanks.
