  6. i have just put in a postcode so i can do some caching.dn8 5hn but it keeps coming up with an area in france. ANY IDEAS .the area is doncaster in south yorks.if i put dn1 in its fine.just curious thats all.guess i wont be able to do any caching.
  7. following on from the travel bug thief topic .well we have one here in north yorks but they are taking caches.i recently did a couple in the middle of the north york moors .the only people who would know about these caches are cachers as there is no way a muggle could find these. on one of them they took the cache and put a dead animal in its place and placd the stones back in place as they should have been. the others one had been taken and on one a dirty nappy had been placed in the cache. after reporting dnfs the owner got back to me and said after a maintainance check they think the animal had been deliberatly killed. they are obviously very upset and are at the point of giving it up. there point is why should they bother. i have told them not to let these people win as these cachers have placed some great caches really devious and some great locations. why do cachers have to resort to doing this type of thing.is this an isolated case or is it widespread.why do they have to spoil others enjoyment. a few of us are a bit concerned for our caches as well
  8. well done lianne, great achievment.see you at burton
  9. heard it mentioned again today although it was pronounced wrongly.not that it matters its good that were getting plenty of airtime
  10. theres a micro near us six mile walk in beautiful moors plenty of places for a proper cache.micro WHY? on ignore list.
  11. i agree with the idea that its how its presented to them.my teenage son thinks im a nerd for liking caching,he used to like it but not anymore.my eldest daughter loves it,and like the other reply she always likes having the gps and running ahead to be the first to find it. involve them make it fun if its a puzzle cache let them have a go at working it out. let them do something they want to do afterwards,so that your not taking over all the time. have some fun on the way to the cache, basically involve them and dont take over. place a cache with them as well.we let one of our daughters pick the place were it was to be hid, which she thought was good
  12. ill be coming down on the friday.cant wait
