  1. Have a karoke night where you change the lyrics of the songs so they pertain to geocaching : )
  2. Hopefully this was a "Note" or "DNF". I'm assuming someone who got that worked up about it would walk away..... or did they? It was on a find.
  3. I really appreciate the feedback on this topic. I'll see what I can do to modify the existing cache. The bolt in question is is one of two that holds the sign. Adding a bolt of my own may be the way to go. I sure don't want anyone to get in trouble or have to explain their actions. Thanks.
  4. if to get at a micro, you have to take a nut off a bolt on a sign? I put in the listing that tools will be required. I had a cacher refer to this as vandalism. I was interested in what anyone else thought.
  5. I would agree that you should be able to log your own event cache. I was just surprised that the site allowed me to log my own cache as a find. It seems like something they could "disable".
  6. I tried logging one of my own caches as a find just to see what would happen. My number of finds went up by one. I wouldn't think this would even be possible. Obviously, I deleted my log. Has anyblody seen this? People logging their own caches as finds?
  7. I have run into some caches that are said to have trackable coins only to find a replica or picture of the coin with a tracking number. Is this common practice? I'm assuming the owner does not want to risk losing their coin.
  8. I came across a Texas Geocaching coin that doen't appear to be trackable on geocaching.com. It seems pretty cool to just be added to my swag bag. I'm not joining the texas site on the coin. Anyone have any similar situations? What was the result?
  9. I geocache as a family activity. I enjoy hiding them more than I do finding them I think. I really like golf and I don't even think you can compare the two. With gas approaching the $3 a gallon mark in my area, it's becoming cheaper to pay greens fees than to take a 100 mile round trip to find the closest cache. I enjoy both. If you pressed me to choose, I'd rather be golfing.
  10. Is there any way to get a TB off of your listing if it is not there?
  11. I'm not talking about situations where the log was wet or missing. The log was there, roasty toasty and unsigned. They logged it online as a find. I kind of have a problem with that.
  12. It would never occur to me to log a cache found if I did not sign the log book. Am I thinking wrong here? I could have a "few" more finds playing the game that way. What do YOU think? duck
  13. I'm going to try the nalgene bottle as an underwater cache. I let you know how it works.
  14. I'd be interested, but I'm in NW Indiana. "Like a dog without a bone, an actor out on loan..." Go for it! No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn. duck
  15. I've had one take 3 days and I've had a review take less than 3 hours. I think it just depends on the availability of the reviewer. duck
