  1. All this "Table-Tennis" of post and riposte has just one conclusion - BT do not want caches in telephone boxes that they own. It is up to us, as placers and finders, to respect this. Do not place caches in Telephone boxes! This is a simple response from a simple, straightforward Yorkshireman!
  2. Welcome to Southerntrekker - hope you enjoy your new life! Just for the record, I cover Yorkshire and NE England (Durham and Northumberland). Manchester does not come into my territory, I'm glad to say!
  3. Oh Mandy - my ears are burning! (and so will your wooden leg when I catch up with you!) Keith
  4. Open letter to Sea Cucumber101: I very much appreciate you latest stance and applaud you for taking it. My job is to help get caches published - publishing them is far easier than having to reject them! If you have any queries at all, or you disagree with my actions in any way, please E-mail me. I have never knowingly not replied to anyone taking this route. I may well attend Mandy's Duck Race Day, although it is not certain yet. I will be easy to spot as I will be wearing my DalesmanX shirt. Mandy will be only too pleased to point me out! Please introduce yourself and let's have a civilised natter face-to-face. To all others participating in this thread - can we now draw it to a conclusion and leave the two protagonists to sort out their differences?
  5. I've kept out of this up to now but.... In the initial entry appeared: . Now, when I give warning that a cache may be archived for non-compliance, I see: Also, I see: I have searched my Emails and found none from this cacher. Draw your own conclusions!
  6. The question of "Humberside" as a region, or part-region, for caching purposes is currently under review. The formation of that region was a political SNAFU, as was quickly recognised and corrected (Humberside lasted, I believe, a mere ten years between boundary changes). I'm not sure how we might get all the maps changed, though.
  7. Welcome to the world of Reviewing, Paul. I don't need to try so hard at keeping my gob shut now! DalesmanX
  8. 100 micros coming my way for review? OUCH! I went in to my local Boots quite some time ago and asked for some film tubs. I was told they could not let me have any as there was a risk of cross-infection from the previous handler/owner. When I pointed out that this philosophy meant they would have to clear their shelves of all products, as someone might have touched them before I came along to handle them, they were a little hesitant to say the least! I went round to Max Spielman's and got as many as I wanted without question.
  9. Thank you all for the messages of welcome. I look forward to completing my training and getting started on rejecting, sorry, publishing all your latest caches in the Yorkshire & Humberside and NE regions. DalesmanX
