  1. Hi. I am GDUBBS, a confessed lurker. I'll chime in if I have something good to say, but figure I don't have enough experience to say alot. Layed off geocaching for four years and am getting back into it, and sucking in friends left and right. Back in 2003 none of them had any interest. Go figure. We like to camp alot so I figure we'll start racking them up. I need to persue the forum more, and find a home. Seeya.
  2. I too, have the Magellan GPS Companion/Handspring combination. Seems to be VERY accurate. Problem is, the Handspring has a mind of its own and requires a reboot ....and I have to reload the GPS software. Not the kind of thing you like in the middle of a hunt. Tried everything, but cannot trust the little sucker. Also have an eXplorist 210, which I love, and is my main unit.
  3. I payed by credit card, and was "premiumed" that same hour. Just lucky, I guess. Love the pocket queries, and the thought that I am helping support the sport.
  4. http://www.magellangps.com/en/products/pro...asp?PRODID=1019 http://www.magellangps.com/en/products/pro...asp?PRODID=1018 Says it fits all the eXplorist model line.
  5. The man who taught me how to fly died a few years ago. Every time I see an ag plane or biplane, I think of him. It is a good thing. I am glad his memory lives on in me. And, hope it never leaves me. I have been to one graveyard cache, which was a virtual cache of a rather unique gravestone. It brought me to a place I would not have experienced, and in some way extends a memory...for someone.
  6. In my hand until I need both my hands. It then goes into the front inside pocket of my spiffy black shoulder utility strapped bag. The bag is just large enough (10x6x4) to hold the gps, extra batteries, stash items, paperwork, etc. Don't know where I bought it...
