  2. OH I know what is/was causing it. I just thought that GS might want to know about it, so they can clean it out....

  4. This thread gets me this warning......
  5. Looks like it was actually this cache. Yep. Already a forum on the cache page, along with a "Keystone Cops" reference. Now who here in the forums wants to say it was a stupid location for a cache, and deserved to be blown up? Dumb area, went b00m. saylavee......
  6. Now I feel the need to check on my caches..... make sure all the log are not armchair ones......
  7. I will second this book. I only read about 2/3's of it before I move but I am going to get it and re-read it.
  8. Nope, not scan-able as far as I know.

  10. There seems to be an issue with Macs and the send to GPS function. I am sure one of the Mac users with chime in with a work around. The easiest way I know, is make a pocket query, mount your eTrex 20 and load the PQ.
  11. Yes I have seen this. Just once though. I am also taxing out my USB ports......
  12. I shall throw my issue in to the hat.........My issue
  13. depending on the size of the query go back to the build query's on the right side of the page. You should see the active query's and the querys ready to down load (second tab) click on the second tab and click on the query......... Learn to read the WHOLE post....... What kind of GPSr are you using ?
  14. I believe that separate coords for the FTF "goodies" s the way I am going to go.
  15. Yes I have been using it for caching since week 1 it came out. Never ever used a smart phone for caching. Saw my sister do it a few times, though hers was an iPhone..... Power on unit, from main menu either "Where to" Or "Geocaches" select cache you want to go to by pushing "IN" on the joystick, next thing you should see on the bottom of the screen is "GO" push in on the joystick again and off you should go.......

Feel free to add me to this list. Chrome 19.0.1084.52 (and Fire Fox 12.0 :shudder: )
  17. Yet again I had this happen to me today. I went and found 2 caches. Marked them as found, selected to go to next closest cache. After my second cache discovered that I was out of time. So I powered down the unit AFTER stopping navigation. I came home and looked at the calender No records for this date. They are showing as found on the units map ( open chest). I submitted a report to Garmin. I will post an update when they tell me something.
  18. Why because my other caches are there ? Understand about that....... The separate coords for the FTF, has got me thinking....
  19. As I said I do not want to go into too much detail.... 1 of the FTF goodies "may" fit the other I know will not.....
  20. With out giving out too much info, because I know some of my local cachers lurk here, Would you be ok with the following. I am getting ready to place a cache, and I am not going to place the FTF goodies IN the cache, but rather have the FTF-er contact me to get there goodies. Would you be OK with this / or willing to do this?
  21. Has there been any further testing / field trials with this FW ?
  22. Yea I *think* you can upload them in to GSAK, but you still have you manually up load them. Option 2 I just write my logs when I get home. 1 by 1. (own a eTrex20)
  23. Multiple caches at once you say ? Let me introduce you to Pocket Query's...... http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=118 http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=117
  24. OK I know you have an eTrex 10, but the rest of you set up I am clueless on. What type of computer ( PC or Mac)? How did you try to load them, I am guessing 1 by 1 seeing that you are not a premium member yet. Yes there is a maximum number of caches the unit can hold but it is greater than 20. You can retry.
  25. Thanks savant..... between your hack / mod and the link for the Triton 500 base map I have his unit up and running. I just want to find a topo map for it.
