My wish is to be a well-rounded and respected cacher.

I made my first find in March of 2010, but I didn't actually start geocaching until July. I waited until May to sign up on geocaching.com. My next find wasn't until July (I did some benchmarking in June). Now I really hate looking at my stats that tell me that I have 99 days without a find, which technically is true...but not really true since I started actively participating in July. I am wondering if there is any advice on how I can fix this. I thought about changing the date to the day I set up my account, but I didn't feel right about doing that. I could just delete the log, go find the cache again and relog it, but that would mess up my list of finds. Perhaps I am just a stats junkie...and maybe I shouldn't let it bother me. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I have tried to use that activation code and it is basically telling me that my cachekinz doesn't exist. What on earth do I do now? It has to exist since I have it sitting on my desk right now with the tracking code on it. I am feeling a little discouraged right now. Maybe you are reading a digit wrong? Try 0 vs O or 1 vs I or B vs 8, etc. You are a genius!! That was it exactly. I wonder why they don't distinguish better between an O and zero? I hope others who log it won't make the same mistake. Thank you, thank you!!

I am having issue with the 3rd party activation code site not keeping things updated. In an effort to help with this issue all Cachekinz activation codes are now CACHE. I went to the coincodes.com website and I input both of the trackable codes for both of the cachekinz where they ask you to...only one came back with an activation code. Now no matter what I do, it tells me that the travel bug does not exist. What can I do now? My son is really upset that we haven't activated it yet. I tried emailing, but have gotten no response. Does anyone know what I can do about this?

I had no trouble looking at either one of them. My biggest problem is what he wrote on the second one: "Rare 1940's 3.5 inch wide Brass Corps of Engineering US Army survey mark plate. Date was sanded off by my Dad so he would not get in trouble and pay a fine. " I am appalled at it! To ruin it so as not to pay a fine. Sheesh. What is this world coming to? He could have just blurred the stupid photo rather than sand off the date.

I was curious as to what the benchmarks might look like after I went looking for some today. All three of the ones I found looked different. After doing a search, but before looking through the forum, I found a site that gave me a really nice array of pictures of what I might find.
