I use a smartphone to find my caches. i use the app "(reference to unauthorized application removed by Groundspeak)". i was trying to find a multi-cache, and i had to input some coords. and i couldn't find anywhere to do it, and i couldn't find an app on the android market to input coordinates and locate the cache. can anybody help?

i personally have no problem with micros. i prefer ammo boxes, usually because the locations are better (wooded areas), but that's the game, to go to new locations. micros are more for the city and more populated areas, and ammo boxes are more for "outdoors".

woah, that's a terrible situation. and i'm not sure what i'd do. but i've gotten in trouble with the cops while out geocaching once. if they start questioning you, explain to them that you are geocaching, but don't show them the cache (if you've found it yet), so they don't take it (like what happened here). just say you were looking for it, and i'm sure they will just tell you to leave.

I can't find the GC anymore because it was archived, the owner of the cache knows that the cache is gone because of landscaping (i'm pretty sure they went out and checked it). so all that's left would be me asking them if i can place a cache there in a similar style, correct? thanks to everyone for all the help!

well, i know that where that cache was hidden just was remodeled (it was hidden in front of a store, on a barrier type thing), and it's a great idea, but when they were remodeling, i'm sure they snatched it up with the old rocks (or whatever was there) and tossed it away. i've been out there twice along with 3 other people that couldn't find it, so it's evident that it's gone.

don't know how to erase this, messed up in my post, so i guess i'll just leave this as it is.

there is a cache near where i live, and it is definitely not there, it hasn't been found in about 3-4 months, but i think it's a really cool location and idea. is there anyway i can put a new one there and "revamp" it? by that i mean put it where i'd like to, and just make it a "2.0".
