While out caching on a camping trip my son and daughter in law and grandaughter encounted a rattlesnake while turning over a cache, anyone else had a simular encounter?

I posted a cache on Saturday and it not posted yet what is taking so long...normally they are posted quickly, maybe in the Northwoods of Wisconsin they are hibernating already!

I have hide several caches in locations in Northern Wisconsin Wooded areas and in town only to have them stolen several times. I make unique cache containers that usually blend very well with the surrounding im placing the cache in, only to find them gone after a few days . How mean people can be.

cant believe how long it takes sometimes for a CACHE TO GET PUBLISHED, WE WAIT AND WAIT AND FINALLY ITS PUBLISHED!!!!!

While searching the map for new caches the smiley faces of the ones Ive already found are not there what happened to them...they look like all the other caches. How confusing... now im really mixed up. Any ? to this will help.PLEASE

I put a cach out that was really cool...it was a opossum head with the container inside. The clue was is it dead or alive? or is it just playing opposum? When to ck on the cach and the wire it was in was still there with the cache gone. I was so mad a fellow cacher found this skull for me and I guess I will just disable this cach and place something else there! Im so sad it gone Has anyone else had a neat cach taken?

I just started putting out my own caches, filling them up with gift cards, jewelry (I make), Breast Cancer bracelets, etc...great stuff, My first cache had a $30.00 dinner gift card in it and TFTF took everything out of the cache. Anyone else having that problem?

Ok Im in the market to purchase a GPS for Geocaching....daughter works at Cabalas and I have a choice of 2... I can get The Garmin Dakota $199.00 or the Garmin Oregon $230.00 they are only 30.00 difference in cost. Which one is the best one for caching? Dakota10 and the Oregon 300

Have been caching for about 2 months and came across quite a few scrolls that were not able to writen on because of them being wet. I post maintence on them when posting the find. Please ck on your geo if you planted one to see if it needs working on !!!!!!!!

Cop wont bother you if you tell them what you are doing. I find it is sometimes better to go real early in the morning or when the places are closed.

Yes this is true, we have found "junk" in a few of our caches, I put $1.00 scratch off lottery tickets in mine. I also do the dollar store stuff and I make Jewelry and put in some of the things I make rings, bracelets earrings etc. Happy caching
