Quick question to anyone that knows about Geodetic Benchmarks. I found one in NE Alberta on the north side of the North Saskatchewan River that was marked "Provincial Museum & Archeives of Alberta" with 'Datum No.1; 1972' on the benchmark. - what is this bench mark; is it a geodetic benchmark; what does it mean; what value does it have? Would be good to know? Just looking for answers; thanks; Smiley

This is also my 1st post as I look all over Alberta for new caches; even in Calgary. Now I will view this area from time to time...
