Thanks. That is what I assumed it would do. As I said until I get my unit I can't try it out. When I was looking at Palm the suggested software was the cachemate with GSAK. This seems to be the only one recommended for Asim because of WM 5.0 I guess. I need to be able to set it up, run and learn it well enought to teach my husband- he is not much of a geek when it comes to gadgets Melissa

Clyde, I just tonight purchased a DEll X51V for my husband for Christmas. Through some other posts in the forum I was told that Back Country Tracker will work with both my Dell and GSAK. I checked out the GSAK in File- Export- and don't see it listed. Do I need a different program? Do I use some file that is there but named differently? I don't have the unit yet, so I can't play around at the moment with it. I have no problem using GSAK with my Garmin 60C. Please fill me in. Thanks-Melissa (Moo and Wug Smith)

Thanks for both of the repsonses. I already own GSAK and have been using it for quit a while so that is one of the suggestions that is already taken care of. I really am not looking for an out in field connection- just a hotspot such as a Starbucks, or Panera, someplace to refuel and possibly reload data. I have checked out the backpacking counrty link. I guess it now time to try to decide on a PDA. I have read most of the reviews out there on Axim, and IPAQ and am leaning to the Dell. Thanks again for the repsonses.

I too am working on the paperless cache. We are premium members and have purchased GSAK. What we don't have is a PDA. I would like to bite the bullet and buy one that is WIFI capable so when we are out unexpectedly, or in a different location I can connect and download new caches. Palms seem to be the favorite, but since there is some concern if they will be conitnued to be produced and supported by their comapny, I am looking at something like a Dell Axim that uses Windows Mobile 5.0. I know with the Palm you can use Cachemate. What are the programs out there that support Windows? I don't want to buy the PDA and not be able to cache with it. Any suggestions?

I was searching the forum for perhaps this same topic. One of the premium members had a map of the US that had states marked that they had found caches in. I am looking for the same tool- I am a premium member and have GWAK. I looked at the GPS Visualizer and I don't think this is it. Does anyone know what I am talking about and where to get it? Thanks. Melissa PS-Actually a US/Canada map and a world map would be great to map my out of country finds.

I am wondering if there is any discussion about being able to sort your "seek Finds" not only by distance from some location, but also by direction. It would be great to be able to have all of the caches that are SE from a point for example sort by distance and direction, then those of S etc. This would make it simple to sort your printouts and you could easily say- I'm going SE today what are the nearby caches? This may not be capable of being implemented. Just thought there might be others that would enjoy the feature too. Thanks. Moo (Melissa) of Moo and Wug Smith
