  1. Cozumel! We'll be there Friday to get the ones we missed and the ones that have popped up since our last visit.
  2. Recieved one with my Geocoin I ordered from Groundspeak.
  3. The search engine brough me to this topic as I had the same questions as geo-hazzard. I went to the Garmin files with my puter and found all the .gpx files but my question is.... is there any way to differentiate between the found/not found files on your device other than using the gc codes from your found list on your profile? And... is there a way to run a pocket query on just the gc codes you've found? I was also wondering if deleting them would remove them from your found list on your device but ecanderson answered that perfectly. We started geocaching in May and I soon realized that for us, paperless was the only way to go, so we bought a 450t which has been great..... except now I need to spend some time managing files rather than hunting caches. Any advise that could speed the process up would be greatly appreciated. Found the answers here. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...files+garmin450 And here. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...files+garmin450
  4. The question I posed in another thread earlier today was out of concern that before I could get home to the puter to email the CO another person or persons would find this by letting their children take the find and then 'hello' welcome to the real world. And oh look....teamjandt were just here and they must not be the kind of people I want to meet or they wouldn't have left this for our children to find. Now aside from racsism there really isn't much that would rile me up personally. I've pretty much seen it all, accidently or on purpose. I don't have children but I do love the lttle buggers, and I wouldn't want them to open up a container and see ******(insert female name her) loves ***** (insert body part here) with phone number attatched along with other such sentiments. Like I said I wasn't personaly offended but was only thinking of the little ones to come. I know what I'll do in the future regardless if others agree or disagree. In the end I want to know I can sleep well at night. If the CO checks their computer as much as the rest of us he/she knows by now. Like I said in the other post....wasn't trying to step on anyones toes, just wondered what others thought.
  5. Thanks for the advise. Think I'll do both. The more I think about I think its was found w/gps since it was a really good hide a ways away from the graves. I hope someone else doesn't find it before I get there.
  6. We are pretty new to the sport but did find a traditional cache yesterday that had very little left in it and most of it was junk, really. According to the list of original contents the CO started off with some cool stuff. I guess the rule of trade equal or trade up doesn't apply to some. So we stalked it back the best we could as we hunt with a small back pack full of stuff(ya....kinda like a mobile treasure chest =) ). This might be for another thread but it kinda goes with this.....we also found a very cool hide that was at a forgotten cemetary in the woods of two littles girls. It's a really awesome find and kinda sad. When we opened the container we found some lewd remarks that included someones phone number along with a couple other things. The hand writing and remarks seemed like that of teenagers. The name used didn't show up on the posted logs so I assume they didn't log the find or were possible muggles. Not sure what to do we left them and posted a warning for parents with our logged find. After reading this and a couple other threads I wished we just taken it out. Should we email the CO or just go back and remove them ourselves? It's not that far and I really wouldn't mind doing it. Just don't want to step on anyones toes.
