I am looking for artistic help for an avatar. I would like to incorporate the letter "H" for our last name, and use the letters M R W C around the H. Somehow also I'd like the state of arkansas and maybe a compass. Incorporating the GC colors would be nice. Again, I would appreciate anybodys feedback. Thanks

I like the option of saving pdf files of the geocaches. Is there a way to automatically save the "decoded" pdf?

I've been reading that paperless caching is the way to go. I consider myself computer literate, but know nothing about pda's. I'd like to go to ebay and find me a pre-owned PDA, either color or monochrome. Can someone point me to a couple of good models of PDA's to look for. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I know there are lots of map users here. Has anyone seen an online map, that will allow me to select a center radius point, and then draw a 300 mile (or whatever) raduis on the map? Thougjt google earth might, but couldn't do it. Just curious.

I have used google earth, but these pics look different. How do you get the GC icons to show up. I usually download the waypoint and open the .loc file in GE and I get a generic dot. Just wondering how you get it to look like that....sorry if I've gone off topic.

I have not yet tried the paperless caching...in fact I don't own a palm, but it really does interest me. I have seen where you can download the gpx file to your palm. I'm wondering if you somehow get a view of a map, or just coordinates and text. Sorry if this has been discussed before. MKH

I would like to be able to filter caches by direction from my current search place. Say I searching from my zip code, and I am going to head out east. There must be a way to select only those to the east, northeast or southeast, because the little icon on the left of the screen knows at which direction the cache is from my search zip. What if while doiing an advanced search for caches, there were a checkbox to determine which directions you would like listed. Not sure if this has been addressed in a thread or not. I'ts just something I was thinking about. I know that searching along a route has been discussed, but wasn't sure about the directional search. Thanks everyone. I am trying to organize my geocaching favorites in my IE. I am trying to create a listing within a zip code excluding the ones I have hidden and the ones I have found. Can anyone tell me the syntax for that? Thanks

My son and I have been Geocaching for a few months now. Don't have a large number of finds, as we can only get out every few weekends. My question is this: I think that geocaching would be a very interesting science fair exhibit for him, but not sure what all I could include. Does anyone have any direction on how maybe we could present this in a scientific way? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have a 10 yr old that is quite proficient with my Garmin Legend. I let him navigate and give directions while I'm driving. Great fun for the family.

as a newbie to this game....I was wondering. Do you guys trade coins, buy them, or find them in caches. I don't see how I could ever get any coins because of my time limitations to get FTF's. I notice ebay has some as well. Coins look like a great item to collect, so I was just wondering how you get them. THanks.
