  1. I'm planning a trip from Spokane to Yakima this weekend...I'm in need of help from someone that could help me or knows of a way that I can get like caches that are CLOSE to the freeway/at the rest area's........I want to do a few on the drive over and on the way home! I want to go back and get #400 with my buddy George501949....... Please anyone that has a few extra few minutes...could you please help or shed some ideas? Thanks!!! ~Derek
  2. Well the move up here hasnt been all that bad so far. Now that I'm settled in a bit, just over a month, I think that I'm ready to get back into caching. I usually work nights, like 6pm on....so I'm free early mornings/mid afternoon. I'd really like to find a cachin buddy, since it's so much more fun to cache with someone than alone. I'll drive, you drive, doesnt matter...lol just as long at it's company. Anyone interested? ~Derek (tenniskid)
  3. Ok....so this guy isnt the greatest person in the world. I'm by no means trying to stick up for him. And yes..if he were to call me up and say hey wanna go cachin. I'd say no because of past knowledege i know on him. There are some sick, or in this case really sick people out there. They are free to have hobbies also. I dunno...yeah..he should go to jail..no doubt about that.. I dont mean to make a huge fuss with ya'll ~D

On the trail Off the trail (lol hasnt been that clean since i bought it! lol dealers should try to sell em dirty! LOL ~D
  5. That seriously has nothing to do with anything. It's rather frustrating. I mean...ok so the guy has a few problems in real life. I mean come on....what about the Nudests......how about the guy that likes to CACHE NUDE? It's not like he's tracking people with his GPS.... I'm sure we all have our little nooks and cranny's that we dont want our geo friends to know about...and im sure we all have something...... By they way...who gave us the power to judge? ~D
  6. they already found what they were looking for
  7. 1,300 Care packages in 3 months to the troops in Iraq
  8. curious.....what is this for if i may ask....heck if you are offering $50 ill drive down there....but i'd like to know what it's for
  9. I'll be in the area around June 1st.....Email me some info...I'll look into it ~D
  10. Price is everything....I'll be in depending on cost.....Ill even help be the middle man for distrobution in Yakima and even Spokane area ~D
  11. Hmmm I gotta listen to stuff that gets the juices flowin..... A little Elton John Michael Jackson Tina Turner LMAO JP Actually It's a little Bit of Switchfoot Thousand Foot Krutch Kids in the Way Santus Real Better Days Ahead That's what gets me in the GEO mood!!! ~D
  12. Some People in the North west have been putting information in thier caches so that if it is muggled, the people can call, email or contact them in some way to ge their cache back. Check out this forum from the NW Funny Page in North West Forums about a Muggler ~D
  13. Regardless, these "big shots" or whatever you may call them, Don't want people tromping around these places. But, In all actaulity, you can't keep us from them. I've been to one (1) cache in a Cemetary, and let me tell you, I did my best to stay respectful. It's the same as a state park. I walk on the trails, but there are always those who go off and make thier own trails. Do you close the state park because someone was walking off and making thier own trail. Just because one makes a mistake all should pay, because that's the way things work. Another thing, is trying to make a STATE ban (i'm not up-to-date on the bill) on a recreational activity that promotes getting out and not sitting on your butt! In a country torn by obesity you'd think they would be promoting anything that would get people more active. I know I'm more active because of Geocaching. This whole thing sounds like a big headache. ~D
  14. Wouldn't this bill have to be a bit more specific in the actual "Locations" in which it would be illegal to use a GPS? Because if something is listed as a historical site or something of that nature, what happens if that historical thing is in a state park? Don't fish and wildlife officers use GPS Devices? Also, To say that the use of the GPS in these area's is taking away our rights as citizens. I mean, That's almost like saying, you can't listen to a certain kind of music in this town. If we go out and buy these GPS's, that are well over 100$, shouldn't we be able to use them. They are not hurt what so ever to the environment, they are actually a safety device!!! Some other things to think about.... Some cars are coming out with GPS navigation in the cars...Would this count? Most Cell phones now have a GPS of some type in them....Would this count? Some people that use PDA's have a GPS in them....Would this count? The bill is to vague......It doesn't have the specifics it needs. ~D
  15. I'll definately try to make it to this one....I missed the last in Wenatchee due to poor scheduling at work......This one is only 4 days after I start in my new "position" at work, and it's an extra 2 hours to drive because of the move. I'll really try to be there, although I'm hesitant asking for a weekend off in my new store after only being there for 4 days. Also, that's a long drive alone..... We'll see what happens.... ~D
  16. Wow, that's an interesting story.....I'd be very hesitant to put my phone number in one of my caches, but then again, I'm the type of person that likes to know who has my #. And for someone to actually eat something they found in a box, that just makes my head hurt. I mean, if you really think about it, if you found a tooth brush laying on the ground, would you pick it up and use it? Well, good thing it's still there....., he could have taken the grub and the box, but guess his five finger discount was only interested in the food. ~D
  17. Hahaha, I'll keep that one in mind! **edit for spelling**
  18. We'll, it's confirmed......Yakima isnt home anymore In a little over a month or so, Spokane will be the new home with a new position at the ole' work place (raise ) and lots more geocaching to be done. It's gonna be tough leaving all the good caching memories that i've accumulated over the years. Especially those with my cachin buddies! I mean it'd be kinda hard to call him up and be hey lets go cachin. LOL ok, ill be there in 3 1/2 hrs! LOL haha. Anyways, I'm looking forward to meeting some new folks up in the Spokane area, and possibly find some new cachin buddies. I'm acually contemplating changing my user name, b/c Tenniskid just, I dunno doesnt seam to fit anymore I mean, the tennis is very few these days and the kid is about to grow up....So, who knows, we'll see. Happy Caching all!!! ~Derek
  19. count me out.....scheduling conflict i gotta work now crappy huh? Darn it, oh well, i'll catch ya'll @ the next one.... ~Derek
  20. This 17 yr old doesnt get burned out, how could you? I mean just the thought of getting 60 + caches a day, that gets the blood flowin!!!!! Especially with George, he has more energy than me sometimes, we keep eachother goin!!! We practice for these things to by letting the intown caches build up a little bit then, doing a GEORGE TENNISKID YAKIMA 1/2 DAY CACHE MACHINE (lol the name needs work) I couldnt think of anything else i'd rather be doing that being out in the good ole outdoors, especially WENATCHEE ~D
  21. Here in Central Washington the cheapest (AMPM) is up to like 2.12 a Gallon with some of the more expensive stuff at 2.30 a gal. I just took a trip to see some people and gas is cheaper in this big town (spokane) with Chevron gas at only 2.05 a Gal. ~D
