ctrl+V to paste. In Windows, ctrl+P is a print request.

The 'text-based right-click functions' (TBF: cut, copy, paste, select all) seem to be activated by the presence of text in the search box. Type something in there, and the functions show up. Standard selective TBF implementation, if it's used and not just 'always present' follows rules like: If there's text in the space, allow cut, copy & maybe 'select all'. If the clipboard isn't empty, allow paste. Seems wrong to me. Where's the problem? GS' web programming? Browser interface? Or, some powerful luddite like me (usually) who doesn't trust mice and thinks everyone should still rely completely on keyboards.

Clearly that's a misunderstanding; he thinks you're talking about a log entry, and you're talking about the cache page. Clear it up with him, or let it go.

Even worse - let's say a CO owns a dozen hides in a crowded downtown area, or on a remote trail. He or she does a maintenance run and makes adjustments to every one of them, so they all get archived and re-created. You found them years ago, so they're not in your 'active' memory. Suddenly, a dozen 'boings' go off on your phone for the new hides, and you make the trip into the city or plan and execute a major hike up into the hills. You get there and realize....every one of them little green circles on the map...

I know this was mentioned here in the fora several years ago when it was first on TV, but I'm bringing it up again because I just saw it. Standup comedian Jonny Harris, who appears on the Canadian Broadcasting Company's 'Murdoch Mysteries' as Constable George Crabtree also has another show. In 'Still Standing' he visits Canada's small towns and cities under stress; maybe the mining company shut down operations, the local logging industry dried up, they built a highway that bypasses the town, all the young people moved away, etc. He spends a week getting to know the town and its people, then does a stand-up show for the residents, highlighting the positives in the town and what they're doing to cope. In other words, why the town is "Still Standing". The show's great. I just reached Season 4, Episode 4 where he's in Wilberforce, Ontario, the (falsely) self-proclaimed 'Canadian Capitol of Geocaching'. Funny as hell. We watch it on Amazon Prime; it's available here in the US through other services, too. The Internet Movie Database lists this episode as Season 4, Episode 7, but on Prime it's Episode 4. Take a look at these pics of some of the TB's on my account. Theyhave a large laminated two-sided card explaining what they are and what the mission is, and admonitions to not just take or keep them. I realized long ago that the early-adopted standard practice of attaching cute 'companions' to the travel tags was self-defeating; the 'Beany Baby' would be taken and the dogtag thrown away. The point is to get the TAG to travel, so why wrap it in a shiny dollar bill, so to speak. Funny thing - a few years ago a cacher contacted me - he was walking across a college campus, nowhere NEAR where my TB was supposed to be and he found, laying on the ground, one of my laminated cards!!! Bug was in the wind, never to resurface. He mailed me the card . A little off-topic, but here's an interesting one that I thought wouldn't be kept: the 'game' on this was to identify exactly what this 'companion' is! Nice plan, but it disappeared from its second cache. <sigh>

Oh, Jeff - Face it; your caching moniker isn't nearly as entertaining if you're not looking at your gallery.

I'm having the same problem. I uninstalled/rebooted/reinstalled the app about a week ago and everything seemed to work, then today it's happening again. This is a Samsung s10 Active running Android, of course. It's up for a few seconds, then it goes away and I get this message: When I tap "Close App" it all goes away, but then, tapping the three thingies on the left to display my open apps: Looks like it's actually still active. Tapping it just starts it all over. Sounds like it's becoming a more common problem. Any suggestions? I'm offline.

If you take advantage of the free 7-day Premium Membership from Keystone, you have to LOG OFF of the website AND the phone app, then log back in, otherwise it won't recognize your membership status change and you won't see anything different.

You can back-date a log. Make it look like you originally looked for it years ago.

Not sure what you're expecting. You're viewing a website page on a skinny display; it's gonna word-break. Your best bet is to use a computer.

I want to point out here that I wrote a pretty decent detailed reply to this cacher a few days ago which got a few up-thumbs, and then the thread was suddenly gone. Now, this cacher has asked a series of extremely simplistic questions, all of which are in degrees impossible to answer given the simplicity of each query. I'd suggest that the cacher evaluate all of the answers received so far as a whole, including the ones on the deleted thread and start looking at this holistically, instead of one step at a time, which will strain the patience of the collective. And, read the Help Center section of the website.

Continuing my rant, it also brands geocachers as vandals and thieves.
