  1. Are you NEW to collecting and/or trading??

I am interested in helping a new collector to conduct his/her first trade. I have a Lotus Compass geocoin (couple of different versions available to choose from) that I am willing to trade for ANYTHING (even if I already have it) with a new collector. In addition, I will also throw in a personal ELTADA GeoJellies4 micro bean (Pomegranate flavour) with the trade.

Just email me through my profile and tell me what coins you currently have in your collection and what coin you are willing to trade.

*if you are an experienced collector and want to trade for a Lotus coin, I have more available so send me a message and we might be able to arrange something after I take care of this trade. Thanks.

edited to add: the reason I am doing this is because I always remembered my very first trade and how nice bluecherry was when I traded with her. I traded a Titanic - Night Version for an Assassin's Creed Four Muskateers coin and still have it and her little signature item she sent along with it. For the longest time, I still considered myself a newbie until recently when someone mentioned that I was an experienced trader. I have been trading for almost 2 and a half years and it feels like yesterday when I started! So I thought I would help anyone who was just starting out with a trade...it's hard in the beginning when you don't know any coins and don't have a lot to trade.

    EMAIL SENT:)

  2. For any of you who have seen or own any of Crake's "12 Days of Caching" geocoins, I won a cointest when I had the winning phrase for what the 12th day would mean. It was "12 satellites tracking". It's been used on all 3 versions of the coin. I won a set of the first version, which was actually four coins in one.

I hope Crake does a new version for the holidays this year.

This one seems fun...I sure would like to look at it. Does anybody know the link to that one?

  3. This was such a great idea! I love remembering the cointests I've participated in and learning of past ones!! B)

The Rescue Animals cointest was a great idea!!

I'm pretty new to this forum, so I've only had the pleasure of doing one cointest. Also, I was actually lucky enough to be one of the winners :o

  5. Another batch of Pink Yimes went out in the mail yesterday (Friday). So for anyone who has paid their invoice, your coins have shipped!

I have placed my reservation quite a few days ago, but I haven't received an invoice yet. Is there something I'm missing, or did my reservation not go through?

  6. Reservation info submitted...

Since this thread started I have been thinking about breast cancer and have so far been lucky that no one in my immediate family has been diagnosed with this awful disease. Not that I don't know some people who have had this cancer attack them, I have a couple of friends and some non-immediate family members who have been diagnosed and treated for this disease.

So, with a little extra time on my hands this past few days I came up with a way that I can (hopefully) make a difference. I have looked through my coins and have selected five activated but not yet released coins that I will be sending out with a special message. The message is to spread more awareness about breast cancer and more importantly to help with the cure. All five of these coins will have a special pink laminated card attached to them explaining the mission of each coin. The missions are quite simple, move the coin to another cache as soon as possible.

    Sounds simple enough, doesn't it?

But where does helping with the cure come into play?

Quite simple actually... For every cacher that moves one of these special coins to another cache in the next twelve months, I will personally donate $1.00 to a breast cancer charity of my choice (I have already chosen my charity). Hopefully with this kind of mission, these coins won't get stolen or lost and will move quite a distance in the coming year...

Not that I plan on stopping at only five geocoins. I am going to look through the coins again and see which other coins I can add to this mission of mine.

If you want to see the coins that I have already selected for this mission, go to my geocaching profile and check them out. Feel free to add them to your watchlists so that you can follow them yourself. Also, if anyone is interested in any of the woding or anything else on my coins pages, just ask me and you can use it too...

Now lets get out there and find a cure for this disease!!!

:yikes: That is absolutely fantastic!!! You ROCK John

  7. Wow! I'm really surprised at the negative responses.

Different people play the game differently. I can't speak for the original poster, but if he isn't concerned with signing the log, I would be surprised if he is concerned with the cache owner deleting an online log. The enjoyment may simply be the hunt for the cache.

I don't understand why this seems to upset some people.

    Spoken like a true grasshopper.

Not all "grasshoppers" should be treated equal. I'm a "grasshopper" that follows the guidelines/rules, so please don't lump all of "us" together. Everyone here was once/is a "grasshopper" too, don't forget that.

I don't believe that jholly was insulting anyone with the comment. I believe that it was a Kung Fu reference that was used due to u.rusty's zenlike take on the issue.

:yikes: I hope you're right....but it could be easily interpreted otherwise. If that is the case I apologize for noting it.

  9. Awwww.....shucks, missed this pre-sale  If you have any extras please let me know.

I always make extras of every version just in case. Once all the orders are filled, the remaining coins will go up for sale on my website.

I'll announce it here and in a newsletter.

    Thanks, I appreciate it :)
