  1. Thailand numbers years in B.E. (Buddhist Era) as their primary label for most everything (ie. government, history, education and most contracts), except in banking, trading and industry/commerce, whereas they use the Western standard A.D.

  2. Thank You NOSNOW!!! I received my coins at the end of last week....they're fantastic. I love the bunny tracks and carrot details around the coin. I was hoping to get a picture up of them this weekend, but at the moment my camera is packed away. Again, thank you for the beautiful coins and putting on the mission.

Hope you had a wonderful Halloween:)

  3. I don't trade too often, but when I do, I leave swag that I picked-up from Michaels or discounted items from Target, Home Depot, etc. Most stores tend to discount a lot of items after the holidays. so that's when I plan ahead and stock up. I figure that I shouldn't leave anything that I wouldn't think is cool.

    A list of what I picked-up lately for a $1 or less:

    Decks of playing cards

    Journals

    Rubber Ducks

    Mugs

    Paper Weights

    PEZ

    Carabiners

  4. There are a few memorial caches around my neck of the woods and both Riley the Geo-dog and I enjoy visiting them. Usually, they contain stories about their beloved friend on the cache page that are enjoyable to read. Some of them are even pet oriented to where swag items are pet only, such as chew toys or sealed treats. We love visiting the caches that people put tons of love into and these ones are usually great finds.

We are working on the cards and have picked out the coins to order tomorrow. Hopefully, the cards will be in the mail at the end of next week.

  6. After you have logged your find all you do is the following:

    Go to your profile

    Then to "geocaches"

Find that particular cache you want to upload a pic to and select "visit log"

Then in the upper right hand corner there is a link you click on to "upload Image"

Hope this helps and what you were looking for:)

  7. **Update**

Riley the Geo-dog wanted to sign-up as well.

Very cool. I love Halloween, one of my favorite times of the year. Plus it's an extra bonus that my b-day is the day before. Went ahead and got a Halloween grab bag as a b-day gift to me

Thanks Avroair for letting everyone know:)

  9. What makes these two caches phenomenal? This inquiring mind wants to know

check out their descriptions, you'll get the idea

Can't view their descriptions because I'm not a PM yet, hence the Q's B)

  10. Dogs make great Cougar and Bear bait.

They're domestic pets. Keep them at home.

We make great cougar and bear bait as well. Most humans are 'domesticated' so does that mean we should 'stay home' as well? Besides, humans domesticated them, it's not their fault. My dog loves to go hiking with me, it's natural for them to love the outdoors, plus he's great at alerting me if something is up ahead on the trail.

  11. It began innocently enough, a simple game of pictionary played amongst friends. How could anyone have known that the simple mention of its name, the sketch of it's hideously deformed body, once human, but human no more, would cause the monster to awaken from its centuries of slumber :D .

The game had progressed over a period of several days. The pictures were simple, innocent. Most were poorly drawn adding to the intrigue of the game. But then it happened! The name was said, and the monster stirred, finally released from its own eternity of nightmares :D .

The game continued...no one knew of impending danger. Then, as the clock struck midnite, the final insult...the monster was drawn, poorly :D . The monster emerged from the drawing (as monsters do,) angered to the point of insanity, and then it took its revenge :D .

To this very day, no one is quite sure what happened to all the players...no one was ever heard from again. The room was splattered with streaks of a thick, crimson red fluid, sickening sweet to smell, cold to the touch...that's right, the room was covered in.................................................................................marinara sauce  .

Be cautious with your words.....be careful what you draw.....or the flying spaghetti monster will come for

    YOU!

HAHAHAHAHA...I wonder how long until our famed FSM moderator will fly in and comment? Perhaps he is recuperating from all of the marinara he lost......

  13. The order of finds displayed by the site for a user is somewhat strange, depending on the phase of the moon and the version of site update. I noticed that the order in which the logs are displayed is not necessarily the order in which they are entered. In fact, sometimes they are not even in chronological order.

Does anyone know why the site does this? I've encountered this situation twice where it has flipped the order of two or three caches. It seems random.
