OK, sombody grabs a bug, puts it in their pocket and visits a few other caches to log the bug's visits, then drops it near where they picked it up. If that's not the bug's goal, what's the point of the visits?

If visiting other caches are not within the TB's goal, leave it be! Visiting caches around town .25 mi-1 mi are meaningless if the bug is trying to get across the continent. My 2 cents worth.

Nobody mentioned drill quality. Makes a big difference between success and failure. Bargain drill bits, regardless of claims, are not worth buying for anything above grade 3 hardness. I've had good experience with Craftsman cobalt drills working grade 7 material when properly luricated and not getting in a hurry.

I've found live ammunition, Trioxane fuel pkts, used chapsticks and toothbrushes, razor knives, barbed fishooks and other 'neat' stuff in caches. Some folks just hafta 'leave somthin' and that's all they have. Human nature, common sense, etc. whatever. Just remove the 'bad' stuff and hope no one gets hurt elsewhere.

It's a game! Let everyone play and learn from the experience. I've found caches placed by "experienced" 'cachers' without regard to many of the GS guidelines.
