  1. I personnel think what haggis hunter is saying is a load rubbish and who else has these opinion, deceangi does his best to keep up with what is going on, if you have just because he keeps on top of caches that are left ideal so that there are more caches to be found rather than leaving them disabled for over 4 months. And if anyone has a problem with this response come to me and if doing what your suppose to do is wrong then what is the point. And he is flexible more than people think Try remembering these are volunteers Nette

  11. I am sorry to say that i will not be doing an more caching after recent events that toke place in october. i am very upset that so called friend could do what they did and blame my husband who does not ever know i have done this as he has gone on a cache. when i joined in i thought it would get me out of the house more and it was. but after what has been said and the people know who they are. there is just one more thing i wish to say is, Dave has never back in october or ever threatened anyone over a cache or anything else i know this man and he did not say he was going to physical harm to anyone and thr ones who said it know who they are as they have ruined a good hobby for me but you will not ruin it for dave. he thinks things should be left alone but you put your self in my place and you would want to say your peace and that is what i have done. i will be going to the overton meal as it was booked before this happened but i will not be attending anymore as a cacher if i do come it will be as a non cacher. hope you are all proud of yourselves and don't take what i have said out on dave he wont kno till he sees it on thr forum himself. NETTE
  12. possibly 5,989 Gross Tonnage, but that could change Let's see if I'm on the right route with Dave's 'puzzle' event caches! Google tells me that 5989 gross tonnage equates to the Jonathan Swift...I wonder if that means we are in for a trip to the place where my favourite dark coloured liquid comes from? CK Alright, I'll throw my my hands up i've been caught , please remember that this is an event in planning! Event one , on the Jonathon Swift, in the middle of the Irish sea, and yes the coords on the cache page will be for somewere around there! The Second event, a UK-Irish cachers get together event, hopefully in Dublin. I've made contact with our caching friends across the water, who have very kindly aggreed to help sort out a venue! So there you go 2 events in one day, one if I'm not mistaken which wont be in any country (watch someone correct me ), Hence the big thankyou to Eckington and Hydee! Initial details (still in the planing stages). Departing on the now leaked Jonathon Swift, around 9am on the 11th of September, timings to be confirmed, arriving in Dublin 2 hours later. Whilst on board linking up with other attendess for the first cache event in the middle of the Irish sea (international waters?). Cost of a day return ticket, subject to change by Irish ferrys is £12 per person on foot (sorrry no group discounts, unless traveling by mini bus or coach). Once in Dublin procced to the arranged venue, for the second cache event, allowing hopefully a large group from both countries to meet.Departing Dublin port in the evening for Holyhead. Hopefullly if enough No's take part, a return event will take place, with the UK cachers hosting the Irish cachers in Holyhead! So please shout out if you are interested, and give us a idea of what sort of No's we have to plan for regarding Dublin! Next time I will not give such a easy clue!
  13. You have to remember that we rely on some who has a virtual "monopoly on Geocaching (Navicache has how many UK caches?), and as such we the customer (my other half is the premium member) should be given a lot more respect, than what was given. The actions that caused most of the problems, was taken by one person (who himself is a customer who just helps out), if this person was acting on behalf of TPTB, but without their knowledge, then it would only make good "Customer Service" to issue an apology to the UK community for the way topics were locked off, without a proper explanation. If as it appears, that this individual has a agenda or dislike of the UK community, then his access to censor, of what happens on the UK forums should be restricted, since we have 2 reviewers/moderators, who are well thought off I'm sure by TPTB, who keep a overview of what goes on in these forums. Look at Microsoft, who provided a large majority of Pc's with their software, who are now facing legal problems, and large No's migrating to other software, because, they had a dominance, and failed to pay attention to the customer. It would be horrible to see that happen to this site, because of a lack of respect for the customer. Remember if you keep telling people to go else where, one day tey might just follow that advice, MS, got their dominance, due to the best provider(Apple) not be prepared to open up to their customers. Just because I new to posting, don't think that I'm not aware what has happened in the past. I have followed the ups and downs in Geocaching, thu my husband! Nette.
  14. Every country has a few unsavory characters, including the UK, and Ireland (I'm Irish so can personally comment about that ) so the majority of us, don't Tar all US citizens with the same brush. Just those whose actions prove that they need Tarring, as well as any English, Irish, Scottish or Welsh citizens, who need tarring. Nette
