  2. Hello, One the enjoyable aspects of geocaching for me is collecting fellow cachers calling cards / signature items. Is there any other collectors out there who would be interested in exchanging any duplicates they may have collected ? I'm based in the UK and would love to swap with cachers from around the world ?

  6. Next year the first Caledonian CacheFest will be held over the last weekend in May 26th to 29th in Peebles, Scotland. The organizing committee launched our special fundraising geocoin this week! Event listings have still to go live but event details will be available within the next week through our offical website. This coin has been produced in conjunction with JP's Geodesigns from an original drawing by Roger Kingham. The detailed layering of this coin cannot be appreciated from the photographs and can only be described as stunning! Pictures of the coins can be found on our website here. There are four editions available: RE Green, LE Blue, LE Yellow and XLE Satin Silver/Green. The coin size is 65.55mm x 50mm. It is trackable and will have a unique icon. The coins can be bought through our main sponsor at http://geocacheland.com/products/caledonian-cachefest-offical-geocoin

  16. Hello, Apologises if this is the wrong section for posting and if something like this already exists. I'm just throwing this idea out there, to see if anyone would be interested. Not a official event but I've not long started geocaching but would any fellow cachers be interested in a monthly get together for an day/evening of geocaching. I'm from the Glasgow area myself but trying to bring fellow Scottish cachers together for a day. What could happen (and I'm open to suggestions) is say every last Saturday of the month (could be any day) we get together and head somewhere (Perth, Loch Lomond, St Andrews etc). The reason for the set date/day would be so people know if they could make it or not maybe due to work commitments. If we have a set date/day each month, then at the start of each month the people who can attend have a open vote on where we go, be it urban city caching day in Edinburgh or a hiking day. That way people could decide if they wish to come along or not. The reason for setting out the destination in advance is maybe someone as already done those caches and might give it a miss that month. If we decide in advance on where we wish to go, it means many things can be organised in advance, caches route, transport and maybe book some where to eat or pub. I know alot more thought has to go into this, but just looking to see if anyone would be interested and get some feedback. Many Thanks Chris
