  1. I shouldn't laugh but... That's sooo funny! Max mentioned this when we met him at the Brum Flashmob event. He said he was going to to go an event in Cannock Chase in January... I never twigged! A**E! I'd even paid the mighty hornet for a meal too. Don't ask me how I managed to do that - glad I won't me standing around on 12/01 rather than 01/12. Can I nominate my self for the 2007 caching awards for latest arrival at a cache event? Sorry for laughing
  2. Fun Loving Geocacher (that's me!) will be 35 on January 11th and I am planning on attending the Cannock Chase Christmas Lunch 2007 on January 12th.
  3. I'd like to congratulate the Fun Loving Geocacher on reaching 300 cache finds. Nice one young man
  4. I've just figured out why I get blank sections on the Make this page print-friendly (no logs) If you select ( Encrypt/Decrypt ) to view the hint, when you come to print, the pictures of Signal etc vanish. You are left with a big wasted empy space which gets printed above the rest of the text. Is it just my pc or has anyone elsed noticed this?
  5. I've known about this for a while - still trying to crack GCX5TJ Palindromic nemesis? Have used it on the new bonus cache in the Blog Standard series.
  6. So if you have to install a load of new data such as maps, it's best to go and put the kettle on and be prepared for a long wait. Baud rate is probably one of those considerations you don't think about when purchasing a new unit. The vista has no data card unfortunately. Cheers every one! Saved me an unnecessary purchase.
  7. Does a USB connection make downloads faster? I have purchased a new Garmin Vista after loosing my old Etrex legend. It has considerably more memory available for maps. With a serial connection it takes an age to download the map files etc. Would a USB adaptor be any quicker or it is just for those with out a serial connection on their PC. A simple question but someone should know.

  9. I've met lots, the at one time I met 20+ in one day, but thats another story. If they have not found the cache I would lend a hand. I did manage a joint first to find night cache , as the other team had approached from another direction and had open the cache as I turned up.
  10. There is a new version of easy GPS as of september 2007.
  11. Here's my opinion. If I found a waypoint and the stats appeared on the geocacher I might be interested. I've looked at waypoints but it does not really interest me. To keep on topic I do miss them and found out about them by accident a few months before they got "muggled"

  13. This is truly a huge cache! Biggest I've ever come across in three years! Its that large I look for it everytime time I drive past. Im sure I spotted it once while I still on the motorway!!
  14. I've taken on placing the final cache in the Blog Standard Series. The series was set up circa 2005 and was originally planned on having 18 Caches, UK Wide It sort of stalled at 5 and the final never got placed. Well no more! The Series consists of GCNDXB Blog Standard: The Blogger's Bog by Paul G0TLG, Multi-cache (2/2) (Southampton) GCW2BD Blog Standard: Stop That Pigeon! by FunLovingGeocacher, Traditional Cache (1.5/2) (West Midlands) GCNHKY Blog Standard: Panorama by N3D, Traditional Cache (1.5/3.5) (Near Banbury) GCPJ32 Blog Standard: A Pile of Blogs by minstrelcat, Multi-cache (1.5/1) (Maidstone) (1 has been achieved) From the most northern heading south, it would take a journey of 274 miles to bag them all. Each of the caches contains a "sekret code" need to find the final location on the final. Given that no one has found more than 2 or not had the motivation to complete the series, I'm going to amend the rules. I might modify them so finding any two means you would be able to find the final. (Otherwise, the final cache would probably never be defiled.) Currently the Leader Board of who has found the most caches in the series is as follows: cakemaker: 2 Messe: 2 N3D & The Memsahib: 2 (plus one owned) stevo185:2 The Washers: 2 206 People are on one find. How would you score the difficulty of the final cache if you had to find all 4 or only two?
  15. I did GC3FBE Brussels #1 by Sangsvan from Sweden, Traditional Cache GCGV5G Felix Happark (Brussels) by crab, Traditional Cache GCNZ3W Sabélo by Senior55, Traditional Cache One was unusual as it was outside someone's house.
  16. Does Colourbox have an official fanclub? How do I join?
  17. Flame thrower to the genitals. They would not do it twice, and it would prevent reproduction, improving the gene pool.
  18. Due to the increasing number of caches to be reviwed before publishing it has been decided to introduce celebrety reviewers. Already lined up:- The Krankies, Russ Abbot and Vernon Kay

  20. Has anyone checked E Bay lately for geocoins? There was an incident with a muggle selling a TB last year which caused some intense debate in the forums.
  21. Congratulations! Anything special planned for the big 2K?
  22. I'm part of the "Blog Standard" series, which was planned as 18 UK wide caches. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.asp...y=blog+standard Only 5 got off the ground and in 2 years no one has grabbed all those yet as far as I know. I wonder how long it would take to find all these?
