***edited and raised the reward*** We are once again hoping to get some assistance from the geocaching community. I had spoken to Miss Jenn (back in April about a similar flight) she granted me permission to post the request on the forums. We recently launched another high altitude balloon from Dallas Texas. The flight went to over 100,000 ft. Needless to say, it caught a 65mph NE Jet-stream and the balloon traveled much farther than planned. We took the 5 hour drive to the location, attempted recovery but, we lost too much daylight to proceed. The balloon has a red and green payload (neoprene lunch bags) with a red parachute. Are hopes are to gather high altitude pictures, along with other high altitude data. Hopefully this is ok to post. If not (MODS) please delete. This experiment was a proof of concept. There is little monetary value of the contents of the box. Hello from Texas, We are hoping to gather some assistance from the geocaching community. We recently launched a high altitude balloon project from North Texas. The flight went well however, the balloon travel went much farther than planned. The balloon has a payload of 2 cameras, GPS. Are hopes are to gather high altitude pictures, and a pictures of the curvature of the earth. We have gps coordinates and are offering a reward for finding the payload.
