A spot that I've been coveting for 2 years has just become available and I want to place a cache in the location next weekend. I know there's a way to claim the spot as long as a cache is placed in a reasonable amount of time. Can anyone offer directions on how to do this? FuefinaWG

Thank you, so much, Great Scott! One last question: I'm going to be keeping this "discover me" item with me. As long as the nametag has been activated will people be able to just look up the GC code in order to log it?

I just received a "Discover Me" name tag with a code on it but I'm not sure how to register it. It came with no directions and no "password" (like my geocoins did) so I'm not sure what to do next. I looked through the forums but didn't see any help pertaining to this so if you have any ideas, please advise. Thanks in advance, Fue

Allow a CO to "like" log(s) posted on their cache page. Once the "finder" hits a cumulative # of likes they earn a Souvenir; i.e. for every 25 "likes" (or so) they get a new souvenir. I have a number of "creative" hides out there and I would love to be able to tell the finder (on GC.com) how much I appreciate their equally creative log after finding one (or all) of my hides. I also think this will reduce the # of log posts that are simply "TFTC" after they've hiked 5 miles to find a cave with pictographs. I think in the beginning those of us logging finds will go a little overboard in getting the CO to "like" our logs but as time goes on this will dissipate and the souvenir's received as the # of our likes increase will continue to inspire us to be more creative. I've seen some caches uploaded using colored fonts for the description. I'm a Premium Member but I'm not seeing where to change the font color. Can anyone help me with this?

I will add replacement logs, plastic baggies and maybe a pencil with sharpener (if room permits) but nothing else. When I log a find I will tell the CO if I replaced the log and why; if I add a new log I will write "replacement log" on it. If the old log is still readable and there's room for it in the cache I will leave it in the cache because the CO may want it. If the old log got wet and it's rolled into a ball and not readable, I will take it with me. Other than that if it needs a new container I will let the CO know it needs maintenance because it's their cache ... hopefully they are a responsible Cacher and go check it out.
