REPORTING RULE INFRACTIONS
third-degree-witch replied to third-degree-witch's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
This cachers just deleted yet another cache i found of his................. -
At the weekend i decided to cache in the Kent area....Made up my list an off we went.....Whilst doing these caches i came across a set of caches set by a cacher with only one find,I note this cacher has been mentioned recently in another thread..Anyway..upon finding these 3 particular caches i discovered he had taken it upon himself/herself to bore 2in by 4 in holes into public structures (2 wooden marker/ safety posts and a set of steps over a sea defence)...I deemed this a serious infraction of the rules so duly reported the situation to a mod. Now i find my log questioning his practices has been deleted even though i had found and logged the cache ! . Has it got to the stage where if a cache setter is questioned over something the finders log is deleted ?????.Surely we should act responsibly when caching and report overt stupidity when found ?. I would like to think that with well over 2000 finds under my belt i can question caches that i find to be dubious in their nature discuss.................................

QUOTE(Deceangi @ Jul 24 2006, 11:37 PM) Events must be organised by and for geocachers, and must be open to all geocachers. Deceangi Why is this the case ?. I held a private party/event purely as i had to limit numbers .why shouldnt i be able to hold an event with these considerations in place ?.I think the uk geocaching scene panders FAR to much to the weird & wonderful way the Americans like to run things. my opinion..............................

Long Distance Multicaches
third-degree-witch replied to Jango & Boba Fett's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Not exactly a multicache as such...But i can recommend Sp's Ridgeway Run series....30+ caches in his name and then more in other peoples....The ridgeway is a superb 85 mile walk, although muddy at present i bet -
