  1. Surely ANYONE taking a Simply Red cd of any description should be commended ? or is that commited ?????
  2. These bar-stewards need red hot pieces of wire inserted under their fingernails..GRRRRR
  3. Reply to my email to Garmin.. Hi, MapSource is not being phased out - as far as we are aware at Garmin anyway so it should be around for a while yet! Also as to the testing of OS mapping - I'll keep you in mind but I'm first in line!! Regards, Jessica Jarratt Service/Support Associate Garmin (Europe) Ltd
  4. I agree with Happy Hippo..Key Safes are awful, Let the water in terribly...think 'dry' and you wont go wrong
  5. That would be a welcome addition my my collection of software.....
  6. Ahhhhh thanks.....So i can eithier move to shropshire for now OR wait for Garmin....I fear the cheaper option may be to move to Shropshire
  7. Does anyone know if theres mapping software that is capable of including footpaths ?,Im running mapsource on my Vista c, Brilliant for navigating in the car but sadly lacking when on foot. I havnt seen an upgrade for it as it seems Mapsouce may have gone to meet its maker..Any alternatives that include footpaths ???..Obviously has to work on a Vista c . Any advice much appreciated
  8. Ive always treated Tb's as different from swops.Tbs are owned by individuals so cant be swopped.
  9. I would certainly agree its addictive.....I cache for 16 hours plus on a regular basis.....just one more, or maybe two.......................usually ends up being another 4 !!!!!!!!!
  10. Me likes that cache......The police did the first part with us at 2am one morning ..they were genuinely intrested in caching. ..thanks Pharisee
  11. Oh dear, how sad, never mind................next !!!!!!!!!!. I suggest a toy throwing contest !,tb races ? PAH who needs em ????.....the above beats any effort i may have made in the past....
  12. Theres a local newbie around here leaving rude logs......eithier a newbie OR a darned sock puppet
  13. Ive been followed on one cache at night for sure..2 blokes tracking me whilst doing 'the watcher gives 3' thru to 'the watcher gives bonus'..this was at 2am on a very dark night..I evaded them as they were less than skilled. On a serious note...It is always sensible to be aware of ones surroundings, day or night.always try to have a different route out of harms way...we are in uncertain times and its prudent to be on ones guard.
  14. The yellow is a good solid caching tool...i have 2 yellows and rate them HIGHLY..the vista c has prooved to be brilliant tool, especially under thick tree cover..not lost a signal once !, handy when caching at night..plus the road mapping has certainly taken us to caches much quicker...It took me a long time to decide whether to upgrade to the vista, the base map and upgrade swung it for me.
  15. Just what i thought till i bought a vista c and loaded on the mapping
  16. Personally i always state if my visit is a night caching mission..Im country born n bred so the dark holds no demons for me..Obviously i avoid caches near houses etc, or where there may be a problem. I like night caching as i can avoid other people, cachers and muggles alike and get on with the job in hand.....if people are going to get agitated about nocturnal visits then why not CLEARLY state whether a cache is 'night' friendly or not ?.....not many people bother.
  17. Etex vista c...........great bit of kit....love mine
  18. Me likes night caching...especially woody areas..done em all around here now....had to travel to Essex the other week just to do a wood cache series at night
  19. I would be happy to care for 'If you go down to the woods today...(Herts) ''GCG7Q5' if nobody wants it, early cache for me so it would be nice to see it continue.
