For christmas i bought my mom a magellan explorist gc. when i try to send to gps, the download appears to have installed but, wont allow me to upload the file. it acts as if it haddnt been installed. the laptop has widnows 7 and i also tried it on her work computer that runs xp. any help?

I try to load caches using the website to my garmin colorado 400c. everything seems ok it says it writes fine. When i turn on the GPS to check the download, the cache does not appear in my geocache list or on the map. I thought it was because i only had 37 megs of room left, so i loaded it onto the SD card that contains my topo and street map. That did not work either. I do not know what to do... I am taking my mother out for her first time as a registered geocacher for mothers day and i cannot load a single cache onto the GPS. Im going to be awake all night until i figure this out. Please help me!!! no can let their mother down on mothers day.....
