I was in Israel last year for six-months, stationed with the MFO on the Egypt/Israeli border. As I have cousins (ben dodeem) in Netanya I was able to visit nearly every weekend. Contrary to mainstream media, Israel is safe. Their is more violence, and fear of violence in California (LA), NYC, Miami, Chicago, Philidelphia and every other major metropolitan US city than in Israel. I am sure the local geocachers have placed their caches in safe areas. Bring your GPS and travel the countryside. I've been all over the Negev, Be'er Sheva, Tel Aviv, Herziliya, and Netanya. I like the idea so much I will smoke a Romeo Y Julieta Bully in its honor. The Cigar General would say, "dadgum the pleasure police!" I have seen some ammo cans converted into decent humidors, but I would be leery about the nay sayers. Perhaps you can create a geocache event/cigar herf? I found the coolest micro the other day. It was a mini container with pine cone bark hot glued all the way around to give it a true appearance of a pine cone. It was affixed to the tree by a magnet mounted at the top to green wire wrapped around the tree branch. If not for the green wire I would never have distinguished it from the natural surroundings.
