OMG! Look what I found in my mailbox. My first reaction was, the geo_bandit must have run out of black bubble envelopes. I went on to the forums and didn't see any blue ones mentioned. Then I took a closer look at the beautiful coin and sure enough, the back is blue instead of green. My heart dropped. What a nice, nice surprise!! I had just completed a pretty rough week. Last week I had to make a last minute business trip to Georgia for the week. I missed my flight on the way home (by one minute) and the next available flight home wasn't for another 12 hours, putting me home at 2 a.m. which wouldn't normally be a big problem except I had two back to back Halloween parties to hold for my daughters (not to mention that I was feeling pretty sick the whole week). So, I had three very long nights in a row. Finding this coin in my mailbox put a nice big smile on my face. Thanks geo_bandit, whoever you are!!! I will treasure your coin forever. I would have thought that the mint would have made #1 and #2 the golds too but they didn't. Instead they made the last 2 numbers of everyone's order the golds. Oh well. I just checked all the Keystones in my collection and none are #6. However, I do have PaHawkeye's #1 so I'll be contacting him to exchange it for another number. I still have my remaining Anthus Keystone's to check for #6. ....Anthus

It must have been my lucky day at GCF, I got a lot of wonderful new coins, was able to check off a lot of coins from my seeking list, I met a lot of coiners from the forums, saw many coiners that I haven't see for almost a year, I got to meet Signal, and then I heard a swoosh and the Dark Knight left me lucky #13. I got Goofed at GCF! I don't know who did it and I don't know how, but somehow a Goofy coin made its way into my coin trading box. There were only a few times I took my eye off it so I'm quite stumped. I didn't even realize it was there until I got home. The girls and I were looking at each other's trades and then I started to take out my extra coins to put them away. My first reaction was "what is this coins I don't remember putting it in here (it was upside down) and then I let out a yell of joy. Thanks so much Goofy Cacher!! While at GCF, Mr. Anthus saw a rainbow, followed it and found a Pot O Gold at the end. He immediately came over to me and handed me the coin (what a nice hubby ). Oh wow, I didn't have version 2 yet. Being of Irish decent, this coin will be treasured along side version 1 in my collection. Thanks so much Geo_Leprechaun !!! Wow! What an great event! It is the best event I've ever attended. It was so well organized and professionally done. Everything seemed to move along very smoothly. So many people, so many coins. The time flew by so fast that supper time would roll around before we even noticed that we hadn't even had lunch. At times it was overwhelming. We had such a blast. I got to meet so many of you that I've been chatting with over the last few years and got a chance to talk with many friends that I haven't seen since GW5. I want to thank everyone that I traded with. It was a lot of fun. I think that is the most trades I've ever made in one day. The girls had a lot of fun trading their new personal coins. I want to give out a big thanks to everyone that traded with them. When the girls arrived home yesterday the very first thing they wanted to do was show me the coins they traded for. Then they immediately grabbed their coin collection binders and began putting their coins in them. When Sara woke up this morning the first words out of her mouth were "can I play with my new geocoins". Oh yeah, they are definitely addicted LeNore, Cubby, and Jim you did an awesome job with the event!! Thanks for all your hard work, the many, many hours you put in, and the sacrifices you made to make this event a first-class event! ...Anthus

WOW!!! We received #161 at GCF yesterday. What an awesome, awesome surprise !! This coin reminds me of my mother, who passed away a few years ago after a long battle with cancer. She loved to sit by her koi fish pond. My dad still maintains the pond. Thanks again I have been wanting this coin since I first saw it posted. It is even more beautiful in person. ....Anthus

There was one other glow -- timmay!'s which is orange. Thanks for all the compliments. I had fun organizing the group coin and had a great time collecting them at the event and meeting everyone. I am 2 shy of a full set but I know the last two (DD and TMOCM) and shouldn't have a problem trading for them . They were quite busy the whole weekend as the GCF committee members and I didn't want to bug them. Thanks to everyone that participated in the GCF Geocoin Project and made it a success !! ....Anthus
