  1. I just checked, 171 to go, Oooops, 170 to go, now that I'v logged in. Another record is about to be set. Who will be number 1000? I guessing it may be Smurf man! Happy Caching SF1
  2. Holy Batman, Moving twin caches. I wonder if you can log it twice. Send me the coords. Robin. Just tell Catwoman , there's a new cache out and I'm going for a FTF. Batman out! ROTF SF1
  3. I wonder how many would create sock puppet accounts. I can see many more disappearing then. I think after 30 days, one might start seeing bold red flags, once they log in, may help! Sometimes, as someone above stated , due to illness or other things, one doesn't say, Oh I can't come to the hospital today, I have to go drop off a travelbug or I'll be deleted from GC! In the mean time the other party, is worried about being deleted from life! SF1
  4. For the pocket pc, this program is great, GPXSonar it's the only program I know of for the ppc, it's also free. Hope it helps. SF1
  5. Here is your answer to the first question. You should be able to load your home coords, into your main profile page as follows. Once you log in, and start your main profile page, in the upper right you will see a hyperlink something like this saying "from home coords" and "(filter out finds)". Below that is a line that says “update home coords” click on that and install your home coord numbers. Log out, then log back in and if you did it right, when you click on either of the top two lines, it should search for you. From your home as a center point. Happy Caching SF1

  8. You can check out these links: http://www.garmin.com/outdoor/ http://www.garmin.com/products/etrexLegend/ I’m kind of partial to Garmin (I have two), and the legend. I have seen a lot of people update to the legend in the last 6 mo. My recommendation, get the best you can afford. SF1
  9. Be sure to let us know how you made out! I’m sorry to hear that! It sounds like a personal problem, to me! I wouldn’t publicly admit to that, either. Actually, I made contact with the Master , to let him know, I was dropping his name. He informed me, if I use his name, to carry extra bail money. I’ll have invite him to Buffalo ,NY home of the chicken wings. And maybe make a caching event / chicken wing eat off contest. I’ll have to send him the link to the contest, that Buffalo has every year. SF1
  10. You can try these links: http://home.wi.rr.com/lcdcreations/lanyards.htm http://www.pfranc.com/ I’ll try to dig up some others, when I get a chance. SF1

  14. ditto that one...they usually have 2 sizes in smaller quantities Ditto Walmart, is where I got mine, 3"x4" pk of 100. Check in the Craft Isle . BTW: They work great for $WG dollars, or small items as well. SF1
  15. Hi 1NatureMom, Once you get the screen back in order, get screen protectors. You can use them on the PDA’s, GPS’s, compasses, and flashlight lenses, just to start with. Try either of these two links first: Scratches On Display Screen, how to get rid of http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=82158 or http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...dpost&p=1111475 Either one, should point you to the same thread. BTW: you’ve been Mopar’ed, it’s not as bad as being Markwelled. Other good links: Preserving Transparent Lcd Covers http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...9&hl=gps+screen Gpsr Display Scratched http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...=82856&hl=rouge I can see clearly now! 16. These were released soon after the intial one's were. There are no more to be released. What is out there are all there is. Hey Suziq, I hate to break the news to you, But, Not so! Check out here which Jeeps still haven’t been released. JEEP Owner If you checek the far right column, the "Zero's", mean they haven't been released, yet. Maybe, you can coax them to release them. LOL SF1
  17. Hey webscouter, I tried to Google your error (using the entire link you provided), the return I got was “no results” in 0.044 sec. Can you post what program you were using, that caused the error. If you choose not to post the program ( how about a pm or email). You may also want to try an email to the programmer, or check the web site of the program, to see if teh have a forum area. We need more info, to try and help. SF1
  18. A lame cache is just there, to be there. Probably one, just for the numbers. No reason to bring one to a location, other than for the cache. Not even for a view, or the adventure. Going OT For us verrrrrrrrrry slooooooooooooooow readers. I’m still reading the posts from Jan 27th. You guys just type way too fast for me, to read that quick. Someday, I’d like to read as fast you all type. Work release programs should include reading programs, not just mug shot type pictures. SF1
  19. C2C2C Don’t waste your time with tomato juice, you’ll go broke and the dogs will still smell. Lemon juice does work, we’ve used that, with good results. One we found that produces good results is that handcleaner “Fast Orange”. It works much better than D&L Handcleaner. Ps: Tell Stinkie and Smellie to stay away from the fish. SF1
  20. "Ditto" Eric, said it well. Another thing, is explain how to edit (blur), the numbers using various photo programs. Also, recommend - that they may want to take photos of the oppisite side of the tag with the TB. No editing required. SF1
  21. strikeforce1

    Format

WOW, A whopping 14 inches. I don't know if I could live with that. That might put the cache "not under my gps". Yes! I'm making fun at the 14 inches. Considering we accept distances out past 60 feet as acceptable. The 14 inches, shouldn't be an issue, anywhere in the world. Happy Caching SF1
  22. Hey Panacasummit, Welcome to geocaching. I’m not sure if the GPSMap60 is the same as the Etrex Legend. But here is what to try, Manually input: 1) On your main Menu screen, select the Mark Icon. 2) On the new screen, select the waypoint name, and change to what you want to call it, Ex “Car”. 3) Then scroll down to the location and adjust ( tweak) your Latitude and Longitude numbers to reflect what you want. Computer input: 1) You need a cable to connect the computer to the gps. 2) You’ll need what’s called a waypoint manager to upload and download them. One that’s free is “Easy GPS” EasyGPS installer http://www.easygps.com/SetupEasyGPS.exe This should get you started. If you need more help, stop back and someone will help. SF1
  23. Going OT Hey wolfe3569 You have to go to your My Cache Page, after you log into GC. Click on the “My Cache Page” tab on the left. About 4 lines down, top left corner, is a line that says “Lookup/Email another player”. Click on that line, it will open a new page. On the new page, there is a user fill in block, to "enter the players name" Ex.wolfe359 . When you press go you’ll get another page with a larger box. Next to the players name is “(view profile)”, click on the “view profile”. I know see a pic of you titled me.jpg[/bi] and that you’re a premium member as of 11/07/04. Now when I click on “User Stats” tab, it tells me you own 1 tb tag and you found 1 virt, and 26 regular caches. Now that I taught you this trick, you must go hide two caches , or your profile page will self destruct! Happy Caching! SF1
